Saturday, 30 May 2009. Bag and Jar Labels. Here is the carrier bag design for 'Sweet Enough'. From this picture you can't see, but on the reverse side to this are the trademark purple stripes. The grey paper stock has been completed with the purple ribbon as handles. I sweet finishing touch. Then there's the jar labels for the boiled sweets. I've only shown an example of what the jars might look like for 3 types of boiled sweets, strawberry bonbons, mint humbugs and liquorice comfits. Bag and Jar Labels.

Tuesday, 31 March 2009. Nothing is a new commercial creative agency formed by Michael Jansen and Bas Korsten in Amsterdam. The Nothing office is built almost entirely out of cardboard. A 'no screw no glue' technique. The Nothing team took the idea behind the company name (taking nothing and turning it into something) as the starting point for the physical design of the office; which included creating walls, signage, beams, tables, shelving and even a set of stairs out of cardboard. Wednesday, 29 April 2009. This afternoon I had a group crit to discuss the latest, and final brief we want to do as part of our FMP. We were to go along with a written brief, which didn't have to be final, and initial ideas with a clear direction of where we might want to go with it. Monday, 1 June 2009. Today I've managed to get the final stage of my confections brief completed. And that's the contruction of the gift packaging and taking the photo's of it. I've tried to create the gift packaging in a series of ranges. Such as the dark red and beige colours for the chocolate products. A caramel and depending on the product, such as the rum and raisin fudge, purple for the fudge range. But the cherry and almond one is caramel and ruby red. All the ranges of the packaging together.

I came across his work in a book called Data Flow and thought it was really quirky and inspirational and wanted to check out more of his work, not just that featured in the book.
