Ibaloi people are one of the many ethno-linguistic indigenous tribes that inhabit Benguet Province in the southern most part of the Cordillera Mountain Range in Northern Luzon. The community elders advised the younger generations of behaviors within these areas of the natural environment and albeit unwritten, these were generally respected and observed perhaps because of fear of punishment by nature or the eg-ma-sas (spirits) that are believed to reside in the natural forests and watersheds.
