Laughing Lemon: Can't get enough of May May
http://laughing-lemon.blogspot.com/2010/08/cant-get-enough-of-may-may.html
Friday, August 27, 2010. Can't get enough of May May. I was cleaning up my desktop today and came across these earlier photos of May and the "making of Laughing Lemon". Thought I would post them in honor of her. Today was her last official day although I know we will see her again. I mean it when I say, she brought the laughter to Laughing Lemon! Posted by T. Saturday, September 25, 2010. So summer is now officially over and now we are vacation bound to Mexico. Yes, Mexico. We've rented a house in a little fishing village called Bucerias just north of Puerto Vallarta. My Etsy store is on vacation mode and will be returning second week of November to gear up for the holiday season. If you want to keep track of our travels I will be blogging on my Encil Blog here. Laughing Lemon: FAQ
http://laughing-lemon.blogspot.com/p/faq.html
Q: So do you do this lemon gig full time? A: Currently, yes. As full time as you can get with raising a 5 month old and running a Bed and Breakfast (Encil House in Gibson's). The whole purpose of starting this was to enjoy being with my son Christian this summer outside at the local markets. It has since turned into a whole lot more. Well, because I love them but more importantly who doesn't love the scent, the taste and sight of lemons? It's a funny thing how people go crazy over them. A: My current dis...

Saturday, August 28, 2010. I had such a good day at the market today for many reasons. Here's my 10:. 1/ I was with my friend Anna who checked herself into our B&B. For some post move rest after selling her house. She's taking off to Europe for an unidentified length of time (so envious! 2/ It was a beautiful sunny day but with a gorgeous wind (love wind) so my food didn't melt in the heat. She shared her logo in progress and I shared some merchandising ideas. 4/ I bought T. Tonight as a pre. In 1 1/2 ho...

Friday, September 24, 2010. This was delicious but beware if you try and double the recipe to make it mile high! It slips everywhere. For assembly, get it done, get it done fast and then into the fridge for firming up. Posted by T. Hawes-Puiu. Labels: Inside the Kitchen. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Laughing Lemon: Who we are
http://laughing-lemon.blogspot.com/p/who-we-are.html
We are a Sunshine Coast based, made to order company that offers a selection of handmade, all natural, distinctive delicacies with one thing in common - LEMONS. Outside a number of small batches that I sell at the Fiddlehead Farmer's Market in Gibson's, each treat is made to order fresh. Each is made by hand by me with the help of my 91 year old mother in law, Babs (not joking, you would love her! Pairings of lemon with lavender, coconut, ricotta, marscapone, fennel, rosemary, basil and ginger.

Laughing Lemon: Dessert for breakfast
http://laughing-lemon.blogspot.com/2010/09/dessert-for-breakfast.html
Saturday, September 11, 2010. Now that I am officially done at the market for the summer season I am finding reasons to continue to try new recipes. For Christian's christening next weekend I am going to try this Lemon Crepe Cake. You may recall it on the cover of MSL last year. You can find the recipe here. As it's a T-Party I am going to do a few mini sweets as well and going to make these little lemon meringue pies. I found the recipe on a blog called: desserts for breakfast. Laughing Lemon: Our story, so far
http://laughing-lemon.blogspot.com/p/our-story.html
Our story, so far. For the people who know me, it's kind of a no brainer. "Oh but of course" they say. "Of course Taya on her year off. Would start a little business. And of course, it would have something to do with the kitchen". Prior to this beloved year, I envisioned our family living in Florence for my mat leave (yes new Mom's, laugh here). However life had us stay put and stay put we did here on the Sunshine Coast. However though did I make the leap from the Uffizi to lemons? Where to find us.

Laughing Lemon: Lemons for Nutrition
http://laughing-lemon.blogspot.com/p/lemons-for-nutrition.html
Ok, I know I'm not fooling anyone by saying pairing lemons with sugar for example is super healthy but I would be remiss if I didn't share the wonderful benefits of this super fruit. Nutritionally, the lemon constitutes on of nature’s seven top sources of potassium, a mineral that promotes clear thinking, aids in normalizing blood pressure, and works with sodium to regulate the body’s water balance. To reduce a fever, lemon juice promotes perspiration and helps block pain. When lemon juice is heated,...
