Island Eats: Fresh Catch | For the Love of Food
https://epicurejenn.wordpress.com/2013/02/22/island-eats-fresh-catch
For the Love of Food. Dining out around town. Laquo; Remembering Jill. Island Eats: Fresh Catch. I know I’ve written about poke before but this was our first time to Fresh Catch. I used to think all poke was good poke. I wasn’t picky since I couldn’t eat it any time I wanted to. Beggars can’t be choosers! But I have now found a favorite place to get poke and I don’t know if I can ever love it as much as I do at Fresh Catch. There were so many different kinds of poke to choose from, I was in heaven. We we...
Casanova | For the Love of Food

For the Love of Food. Dining out around town. Laquo; Island Eats: Fresh Catch. Randall invited us to Carmel this past weekend because his sister and BIL were in town visiting from SoCal. It was supposed to be our “chore weekend” so I had to convince TM that we’re allowed to have a little fun on the weekends and that we could go. We checked and the restaurants Randall had planned on going to were dog friendly so it worked out perfectly! They had a lovely back patio with plenty of heaters for all the tables.
Pizza, pizza, pizza!! | For the Love of Food

For the Love of Food. Dining out around town. Laquo; All I need is a little inspiration…. Pizza, pizza, pizza! I’ve always liked pizza but ever since our New York trip, I’ve been obsessed. On the way home from the airport after New York, I couldn’t stop thinking about how. The pizza was the night before. It consumed me and all I could think about was the next time. Would get to consume. We stopped by Giovanni’s New York Pizzeria. For the first time on the way home from the airport. I think my addiction w...

For the Love of Food. Dining out around town. Wow, I’ve been gone a long time. I always seem to be apologizing for not writing more often. I should just write more so I don’t need to apologize. I don’t have a real excuse for not writing. I haven’t mentioned it here but I’m going to be a Mom in a few months! I’ve been incredibly fortunate and haven’t had any morning sickness or weird cravings at all… so I can’t even blame it on that. Do you remember my crazy pizza obsession. A few years ago? Montepulciano...

Friend-filled weekend of eating! | seasons of life
https://seasonwithsalt.wordpress.com/2012/11/19/friend-filled-weekend-of-eating
Friend-filled weekend of eating! My roommate and I chose an apartment with a guest room so we could have people over, but this past year we hadn’t had very many. But this weekend we had two friends stay over (one from Australia, and one from the US) and had another friend come visit for the day from Korea. Pocket change | seasons of life
https://seasonwithsalt.wordpress.com/2013/02/25/pocket-change
When I was around 10years old, I had soccer practice twice a week at Hawaii Loa. The field is at the bottom of the campus and in order to use the restroom we’d have to take about a 5 minute walk uphill to the main building. Our coach would always send us in pairs or small groups for safety reasons. We would stuff coins in our shoes or fold bills to put in our socks. Gross, right? Tanabata Disney | seasons of life

Earlier this month I went to Tokyo Disneyland for their Tanabata. Celebration. I’m pretty sure Tanabata is only celebrated in Japan and Tokyo Disneyland is the only Disney park that has decorations and a special parade for it. So of course I *had* to go! nom nom it is | everything tastes better crispy

Everything tastes better crispy. Dog food and Stella. Momofuku to you too! Nom nom it is. Most recently, we’ve shared some amazing food adventures with two fellow epicureans (what up Chris and Logan! The fun doesn’t stop there. Today we made and devoured cumin pork and potato filled tamales. Following a recipe from Emeril Lagasse, the smooth masa fell away to tender slow-cooked pork, seasoned with cumin and getting a kick of heat from cayenne pepper. Our appetites know no bounds! Seven courses of beef.

The mysterious “O”. Sometimes I have students that will say “New Zealand o. 8221; or “friend o. But they also say “Orland” (in Florida) and “phot.”. I guess the o’s are balanced out that way. 8220;My friendo from New Zealando took a lot of phots when he went to Orland.”. This entry was posted on July 24, 2012, in Uncategorized. A bad surprise →. Epicure in Light: Behind the Scenes. A glimpse into the studio. ROB DAVIDSON is The Epicure in Light. And here's how the photographs get made:. A Chocolate Fondue Cinemagraph. Part 1: The Shoot (fun with chocolate). I decided to just have some fun with this shot, so I created this background with purple LED christmas lights layered behind red tulle. Since, as you can see, the main light is shining towards my lens (causing flare), I attached a French Flag. Once we had the final still shot, we switched the...
La epicureísta - Gastrópata y bon vivant madrileña. Foodie 3.0
I have a dream.
