http://eriningermany.blogspot.com/2009/06/hochzeit.html
Die deutschen Abenteuer einer amerikanischen Chemikerin. An American Chemist's German Adventures. Thursday, June 25, 2009. I went back to the America last week to see my little brother get hitched. It was pretty awesome. I'm looking forward to my permanent return in just 36 days. Here are the highlights of my trip:. 1 Doing a shot with my brother on the DL when old people were around. 2 Drinking beers with the Train and Geoffrey after I'd been awake for 23 hours. 3 Going to Cedar Point.

Ashlan in Deutschland: A life-changing experience
http://ashlaninde.blogspot.com/2009/07/life-changing-experience.html
Sunday, July 5, 2009. Please bear with me – this will probably be a very long entry.). I know, I know - I exaggerate frequently. I’m sure that most of my close friends and family rolled their eyes at the title of this post and perhaps not without reason. I am acutely aware of my not-so-sparingly-used ability to categorize nearly every excellent meal, trip, photograph, piece of chocolate, knitting project, whatever as being “in the top five in my life.”. Shane, me and Alex. Alex, Shane, beer. Group shot o...

Die deutschen Abenteuer einer amerikanischen Chemikerin. An American Chemist's German Adventures. Monday, July 27, 2009. Mein letztes deutsches Abenteuer (my last German adventure). I'm sitting in Frankfurt airport right now, using my 60 minutes of free Tmobile that I used by faithfully collecting my Deutsche Bahn points, waiting to see if they have a seat for me on this flight. That's right, I'm on standby. How do they select who gets put on standby? I screamed as I literally shook my fist at the depa...

Die deutschen Abenteuer einer amerikanischen Chemikerin. An American Chemist's German Adventures. Thursday, June 25, 2009. I enjoy a good cake as much as the next girl, but Germans take cake eating to a whole new level. I'm really not sure how they eat as much cake as they do. I'd say that group members average about three pieces of cake at such an event. I have much to document and I promise to try to catch up before I jet off (or ICE off) to Berlin this weekend. I will not fulfill this promise. Miya in...

Wanderlust Fulfilled: July 2008
http://truewanderlust.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Tales from a wayfaring traveler in search of something more. The end of college marks the beginning of a new adventure, one that starts with a reflective trip to the land down under. Friday, July 25, 2008. There was a marathon. In the Hunter Valley though the vineyards. Today, there was a marathon/ultramarathon (60kms) in Canberra City Centre. I've driven through two marathons in the last two weeks. It must be a sign - maybe I should start training for another marathon as well. Links to this post. When p...

Tales from a wayfaring traveler in search of something more. The end of college marks the beginning of a new adventure, one that starts with a reflective trip to the land down under. Thursday, October 30, 2008. Run A, Run. So I am officially a masochist as I am going to train for the New Jersey Marathon next May. Perhaps I'll get closer to a Boston qualifying time? Bracing myself for the NY winter. Http:/ www.marathonguide.com/races/racedetails.cfm? Links to this post. Wednesday, October 8, 2008. 8211; I...

Die deutschen Abenteuer einer amerikanischen Chemikerin. An American Chemist's German Adventures. Saturday, May 30, 2009. Spargelzeit and other random things. Brought lots of food and wine with them. I remember Claudia's parents doing the same (and her mother actually cooking all the meals during their stay). My parents never brought me food when they visited. Americans, do you think this is a German thing, or are my parents just lame (sorry, mom and dad.)? Wednesday, May 27, 2009. The Violets (Die Viole...

Die deutschen Abenteuer einer amerikanischen Chemikerin: Der Supermarkt
http://eriningermany.blogspot.com/2009/05/der-supermarkt.html
Die deutschen Abenteuer einer amerikanischen Chemikerin. An American Chemist's German Adventures. Saturday, May 9, 2009. You know the discount supermarket chains in America that not too many people shop at because you have to buy a bag and leave a deposit for a cart and everything's displayed in the cut-open boxes it came in and there are bizarrely named generics? Sav-a-Lot, Aldi (a German export), Price Chopper, etc? The produce isn't always of ideal quality. Sometimes they run out of really normal ...
