Monday, March 7, 2011. Quick, so I don't forget. It's been a while since I've had a quote of the week. But this one's a keeper. Aemon, as I was helping him get strapped into his car seat yesterday: "Your heart is where blood and love is.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The hits just keep coming. Quick, so I dont forget. The Dempsey Family Blog: March 2013
http://danandkerren.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
The Dempsey Family Blog. The Adventures of Kerren, Dan and Nate. Friday, March 22, 2013. Apropos of the NCAA tournament, when you go from two kids to three kids, you go from man-on-man to zone defense. When you go from one kid to three kids? Forget about it, you're hopeless. Here are some fun shots from the last month of what I like to call Kid Multitasking. Hiking. Stay away from the edges! The holy grail: getting one kid to entertain the others. Daddy has the best lap for crowding around. More Grey Gar...

Sunday, November 14, 2010. It's amazing what a little air conditioning and pool-side service can do. We've been at the Honua Kai. Since Thursday. It's good here. Man-made waterfalls, pools shaped like lazy rivers, the best beach in the world, fluffy towels, and an on-site store selling artisanal locally-sourced shade-grown fair-trade everything (for 3/4 again what you'd pay at a similar market in Napa - but these chocolate cupcakes are to die for! And it took me several bites to figure that out.) Yea...

Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Our weekend days are divided into two parts: Before Nap and After Nap. In this case, the capital-N "Nap" belongs to Aemon (as Roane is still taking 2-3 a day and the whole "Before / After" thing would just get ridiculous if we included his). The Fairyland outing took place Before Nap. I mentioned Christopher had to work on Father's Day? That left After Nap to fill (even though Aemon didn't actually take a nap that day - but I digress). Tuesday, June 22, 2010. The tattoo part com...

The Dempsey Family Blog. The Adventures of Kerren, Dan and Nate. Sunday, May 12, 2013. A Day at the Beach. We went to James Leake's 3rd birthday party, and feeling adventurous since we had made it to the city, we decided to stay and go to Crissy Field. The babies first outing to a beach! And I think their second to the city (after the first with Tante Claire back in mid 2012). We had a blast! Mother's Day Eve :). Oh yeah, this stuff is the bomb. Don't ever stop giving me sand. Baby Nathaniel Berg Dempsey!

The Dempsey Family Blog. The Adventures of Kerren, Dan and Nate. Sunday, February 24, 2013. Babies love to put things in their mouths. My babies are no exception! Yummy hand. Drool caught handily in a Danish bib. No idea what toy is in Luke's mouth, but he's wearing a little Petite Bateau rain coat I got at the multiples sale. Eating Nemo. Getting a jump on sushi. One sock isn't good enough. Luke is introduced to his Lovey. In between bites of sweet potato: a teether. Luke tries a sock. Meh.

Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Happy Birthday, Prince Aemon. Check A pair of ridiculously expensive light up character shoes. That you can't machine wash? Check (Shudder.) Mom looking the other way when you bop your baby brother with your new inflatable light saber? Because you're never sweeter and more agreeable than on the days when you're overwhelmed with attention and love. You're at your best on your birthday. Not a tantrum, rude gesture, whine, argument, or screaming fit in sight. And then, the Fear.

Saturday, July 24, 2010. Quote of the Week. Look at the goth kids, mommy! By Aemon, upon entering Six flags Discovery Kingdom last Wednesday. I wish I'd gotten a picture of said goths. Pitiful.). Waiting for more complex plots. One bossy 5 year old (there's always one) just wanted me to watch his cool tricks. One kid totally got it. And my kid just wanted to destroy the princess. What the? We don't DESTROY princesses! We politely kidnap them and hightail it to another gala! Wednesday, July 7, 2010. He's ...

Friday, December 30, 2011. A way to document. I realize that I need a means by which to record the amazingness of my childrens ideas. They say and do the most wonderful, surprising, awe-inspiring things - and Im a much better typer then I am a note-taker. So this is it. A less obligatory and more journalish blog about them and the evolution of their parenting. This years for me. But mom, there are a hundred jelly beans! I say, We can skip the rest of the jelly beans. Lets move on. . In older news, his f...
