Another immersion blender adventure. Although I haven’t had a chance to install the new Bamix transmission yet, we did formally decommission Phoebe’s old one. This one had come over from China and while the motor worked well, the immersion part had melted and deformed after spending time in a dishwasher. A bit worrisome, considering it was supposed to be immersed in boiling liquids! In any event, we took it apart to learn what we could and salvage any useful pieces.
