Em and Gav Euro stylin'. Wednesday, August 31, 2005. Goodbye England, Bounjour France! We've just spent the last week crusing around the Basque country in South West France and nth Spain. The first stop was Biarritz, France - the surf capital of Europe. Gav was pretty stoked to be back in the water on a 'planche de surf' surfing in just his boardshorts. The weather has been up and down with numerous heavy snowfalls mixed in with some very summer like temperatures (14 degrees on one day! You know you re in a good place when you re visiting a chocolate museum in the morning and a beer factory in the afternoon - with samples included of course! Em and Gav Euro stylin'. Saturday, October 29, 2005. Family fun in France. After 11 weeks on the road there is nothing better than coming home to family. We've been lucky enough to have spent the last week hanging with the Peacock family and friends, the Day's and the Atkinson's, in a hired french house in the village of St Maure (2 hours south of Paris) that could almost be described as a chateau! Em and Gav Euro stylin'. Thursday, August 24, 2006. Old friends, good times. This is a bit belated, but here are some pics of our recent visitors to London - Kingos in early July and then the Dixons in late July/August. Kingos' visit inspired a trip to sunny Brighton with the Forts, complete with a long lunch and a wander around the cheesy Brighton Pavilion. Let's just say it's not quite Manly beach but the pebbles were surprisingly comfortable to lie on! Beers on the beach. Dickens loves his cider!
