My Soaps – Naturelle
https://mijnzeep.wordpress.com/mijn-zepen
My Soaps and the World. Good To Know …. Red Lipstick (natural colorants). Cambrian Blue Clay Soap. Australian Red Clay Soap. Australian Red Clay Soap. Natalia...

Rose Bouquet Soap – Soapy Natural
https://soapynatural.wordpress.com/2016/09/14/rose-bouquet-soap
September 14, 2016. September 15, 2016. There are so many creative soaping techniques that I yet to encounter. When I see soaps that I cannot figure out how they were made, I am so excited to find answers. I love to see maker’s creativity behind it and hoping that I could be as creative as them. That is one of the reasons why I have been joining this Soap Challenge by Amy Warden of Great Cake Soapworks. For the last couple months. I made this Tropical yellow flower “Yamabuki” soap. As for my first batch,...

Great Cakes Soap Challenge Club Wood Grain Challenge. October 15, 2016. Wood You Be Mine? I’m back again, just in time for Amy Warden’s October Soap Challenge Club. The objective of this month’s challenge was to create a soap that looks like wood, specifically focusing on the grain of the wood itself. This month, we again had two categories in which to enter – Natural or Synthetic, and while the end result of the design was clearly defined,. I wanted something that looked like authentic wood, both the ou...

Sunny Soaps from Sunny Florida. Great Soapworks Challenge The Clyde Slide. September 19, 2015. I was excited to try this month’s challenge as I love Clyde’s YouTube videos. I must say, this one is harder than it looks! I tried three batches and really didn’t get good feathering. Here are some pics. I poured the soap from one end of the mold and let it flow, then used a comb for the top. I liked this effect. I used Cucumber Melon FO so I wanted to use melon colors. My orange looks pink in the pics. The to...

Great Cakes Soap Challenge Club Dancing Funnel Challenge. August 12, 2016. Dancing Under the Tuscan Sun. It’s August, and boy, oh boy is it HOT here in Colorado! Don’t get me wrong, I actually love August in Colorado because it usually starts out hotter than a billy goat’s butt in a pepper patch, but gets cooler and cooler as every week goes by. Heck, in 1962 we had our first snow of the year on September 3rd! For the August challenge, we had the immensely talented Tatsiana Serko of Creative Soap by Steso.

Purple Heart – Wood Grain – Suffuse
https://suffuseblog.wordpress.com/2016/10/11/purple-heart-wood-grain
Purple Heart – Wood Grain. October 11, 2016. October 12, 2016. When you think wood grain, you think brown, beige and black. Once you get a hang of the technique, its probably quite simple to achieve a wood grain soap with these colors – using Natural colorants. Here are my other attempts using French clays and charcoal. My choice of colors were random contrasting colors because this was the first time I’ve tried them in soap. I had no idea what the end result would be. Rich, brilliant purple wood grain!
