Monday, July 28, 2014. Lucy had her first ice cream Sunday ever. As she popped the cherry in her mouth she said, "This is the best day of my life, " a phrase she often says as an expression of love. Today this was lunch. With summer almost over, I was raising the bar to summer fun. 139 Main Street, Yarmouthport, MA. Posted by Pam Wise. Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Did you say Red Nun? Saturday, September 14, 2013. Bacon Goat Cheese Waffles with Spicy Fig Preserves. Late August bleeding in to early September is my favorite time of year. Summer still holding on a little, autumn gently beginning to show itself. This is the perfect time of year for lazy brunches with lots of buttery homemade pastries and French presses full of steamy dark coffee. When a good friend invited me over for just such a brunch last weekend, I knew I needed to make something special. 2 cups Black Mission figs, st...

http://alittleofthisthatandtheother.blogspot.com/2015/05/old-roman-shades.html
A Little of This That and the Other. Saturday, May 2, 2015. A few weeks back I got an email from a client. In part it said,. Hope you will remember us as you made 9 Roman Shades for our our home in Fairbanks Ranch, Rancho Santa Fe, in October 2005 when we moved to San Diego. Despite being put up and down every morning and every night, they still look like new.". Of course I remembered them. What the email also said was that, if I was interested, they needed more roman shades. View my complete profile.

Monday, November 5, 2012. Gourmet White Wine Steamed Clams. Impress your friends and family with your "gourmet-like" chef skills when creating these fabulously rich, yummy steamed clams. So easy, so good, and pretty difficult to mess up. Perfect for a fall dinner party! 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup). Dry white wine, like a Chardonnay or a Sauvignon Blanc. This will make or break this meal - don't skimp! Or if you want to do 1/2 wine and 1/2 water that's okay too, just don't use bad wine). Continue simmerin...

Sunday, August 17, 2014. Lazy Saturday afternoon in Union Square Greenmarket. A few things in life I really love: fresh vegetables, scoring a sweet deal, and meandering through my city. Yesterday afternoon was a culmination of all 3 of those for me. Check out a few pics from my exploration of New York City's Union Square Greenmarket:. There's a lovely lively bar in the middle of all the action. Most of the farmers are more than happy to let you sample a few bites before you buy. Subscribe to: Post Commen...

http://alittleofthisthatandtheother.blogspot.com/2015/02/slipcovered-chair-in-blue-denim-that.html
A Little of This That and the Other. Saturday, February 14, 2015. SLIPCOVERED CHAIR IN BLUE DENIM THAT REALLY ISN'T. My clients had just moved into the house, and I slipcovered it before the rest of the new furniture had arrived, so I was taking pictures of just the chair, trying not to show how much empty space there still was. With a throw pillow, to add a bit of color. Along side the other chair that came with the (not pictured) new sofa. A Little of This That and the Other. View my complete profile.

A Little of This That and the Other: PACIFIC BEACH CUSHIONS AND PILLOWS
http://alittleofthisthatandtheother.blogspot.com/2015/02/pacific-beach-cushions-and-pillows.html
A Little of This That and the Other. Friday, February 27, 2015. PACIFIC BEACH CUSHIONS AND PILLOWS. This vintage rattan chair and ottoman got new covers! I forgot to look at the selvage to see the mill and pattern name of this fabric. Sorry about that. I do know it is an outdoor fabric (but not Sunbrella) and so is pretty indestructible. I also made a couple of covers for the throw pillows my client already had. It worked very well, but the time came to do it properly. And my client's husband had alw...
