Adoption Homestead: Followup call with Dr Keenan
http://adoptionhomestead.blogspot.com/2015/08/followup-call-with-dr-keenan.html
Our Journey Through Embryo Adoption and Homesteading. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Followup call with Dr Keenan. The call went about as expected. He said that now we've had every outcome of EA possible- live birth, early miscarriage (chemical pregnancy), and a negative beta. He said that we (he and us) were really expecting the transfer to result in pregnancy. Mat and I made a list of questions last night. Dr's responses in italics. Anything we can do to improve chances? Gut says stick with current embryos.

Adoption Homestead: April 2015
http://adoptionhomestead.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Our Journey Through Embryo Adoption, Infant Adoption, and Homesteading. Monday, April 20, 2015. We're ready for a baby! Daughters latest word is. Yep, we're ready! We're saving up to go back in July. My cousin works for a hotel chain and he's looking into whether or not he can get us a discount. So that might save us some cash! Plus, my parents have a bunch of stuff in their garage that they're going to let us sell on Craigslist. Should get us about $1000! Thanks mom and dad! But my womb is good, right?

a maiden hair fern: Let's Pretend Chevron
http://amaidenhairfern.blogspot.com/2014/06/lets-pretend-chevron.html
Friday, June 6, 2014. Let's Pretend" by Sarah Jane with pink chevrons and Kona pfd bleach white. What's a little girl not to love about this print? Free motion quilting straight lines isn't always the easiest. I just marked them. I love the old buildings along Geneva Road in Orem. I got the idea for the quilt here. And used nettie's chevron instructions here. And got the idea for the pieced name from nettie also. See post about matching doll quilt here. June 6, 2014 at 10:59 AM. June 6, 2014 at 11:09 AM.

Adoption Homestead: It's all in God's hands...
http://adoptionhomestead.blogspot.com/2015/05/its-all-in-gods-hands.html
Our Journey Through Embryo Adoption and Homesteading. Friday, May 15, 2015. Its all in Gods hands. I know that the lives of our precious snowflakes are in God's hands. That comforts me. But I can't help thinking oh, I need to do this completely trivial thing to make this transfer work. Or the last time worked, but this didn't. I have to make sure not to do anything differently. Not wanting to stop at Missouri Star Quilt Shop on the way (I didn't the first time, and we had Daughter! We were so close.

Adoption Homestead: June 2015
http://adoptionhomestead.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Our Journey Through Embryo Adoption, Infant Adoption, and Homesteading. Thursday, June 25, 2015. Lynda said I'm good to go. but I just checked my estradiol level through my local clinic website and it was 21. Normal range for ovulating females is 23-443 (depending on where in the cycle they are). In February my value was 72. Maybe lupron is supposed to suppress it? Maybe it wasn't working well last time at this point? I need to put it on God's shoulders and not worry. easier said than done! For all the r...

Our Journey Through Embryo Adoption, Infant Adoption, and Homesteading. Monday, December 29, 2014. Christmas morning with a 17 month old! Daughter loves her new pillow book, kitchen, table, and little people Disney princess set. We need to get rid of some of her toys! So I was very excited when I found the pillow book for her :). She's starting to fold her hands on her own before we tell her that we're going to pray. She enjoys getting her teeth brushed. Monday, December 22, 2014. Christmas with my family.

Adoption Homestead: Not pregnant
http://adoptionhomestead.blogspot.com/2015/07/not-pregnant.html
Our Journey Through Embryo Adoption, Infant Adoption, and Homesteading. Monday, July 27, 2015. Just got the call. I had tested Thursday and Saturday Both were negative, so I knew. But it's still hard to hear. There's always the hope that maybe the home tests were wrong. Maybe all this cramping is a good sign. For I know the plans I have for you, declares The Lord. Plans to prosper and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. His plan is perfect. I just need to remember that. So sorry, Malia!

Wednesday, January 7, 2015. WIP Wednesday - The Road Trip Quilt Along Blocks. Like so many other quilters, I am trying to finish some UFOs this year, before starting any new projects. These blocks were made during the summer of 2012, as I followed along on the Road Trip Quilt Along that was hosted by the Sewing By Moonlight Blog. I started working on it Saturday, January 3rd, and I've made quite a bit of progress this week. I spent some time on New Year's Day organizing my sewing room and moving some thi...
