Exile on Mom Street: Still More Conversations With Grasshopper (You Can't Make This Stuff Up)
http://exileonmomstreet.blogspot.com/2009/11/still-more-conversations-with.html
Wednesday, November 25, 2009. Still More Conversations With Grasshopper (You Can't Make This Stuff Up). Today, Grasshopper gave me more evidence of his ever-shrinking britches. Grasshopper, why don't you help me clean up these toys so that we can vacuum the den? Unci* and Granddaddy will be here tomorrow for Thanksgiving and we want everything to be nice and clean for them.". Unci and Granddaddy are coming today! Well, dat not my plan. I planning for dem to be here today! Natasha the exile on Mom Street.

Exile on Mom Street: Painful Process/ Priceless Result
http://exileonmomstreet.blogspot.com/2009/07/painful-process-priceless-result.html
Friday, July 10, 2009. Painful Process/ Priceless Result. I have to start this post by thanking everyone who left your congratulations on my last post. It's a very humbling thing to realize that people across the blogosphere are crying happy tears for you and your family. This morning two lovely (really, they were great, Grasshopper and I loved them) social workers knocked on our door and were greeted by Grasshopper demanding to know, "Why you no bring my baby today? Good reason and I remain ELATED.
Exile on Mom Street: The Bravest Thing
http://exileonmomstreet.blogspot.com/2009/01/interview-meme-from-jim.html
Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Yesterday Jim at Irregularly Periodic Ruminations. Completed an interview meme and offered to interview the first couple of people who commented on his post and asked to be interviewed. Since I am apparently a real quick-draw, I am one of them! If you aren't reading Jim already, you totally should be.). What is the bravest thing that you feel you've ever done? Physically, emotionally, or whatever? Anyone who is a regular reader here (hello all 3 of you! We thought about it for...
Exile on Mom Street: More Conversations With Grasshopper (You Can't Make This Stuff Up)
http://exileonmomstreet.blogspot.com/2009/11/more-conversations-with-grasshopper-you.html
Tuesday, November 24, 2009. More Conversations With Grasshopper (You Can't Make This Stuff Up). My child is getting too big for his britches. And I don't mean in the "I might start making him walk around with a brick on his head if he doesn't stop this infernal GROWING" way. I mean in the "He may not make it to his fourth birthday if he keeps up with that smart mouth" way. The visits took a couple of hours. And by the time we got home it was lunch time and Grasshopper wanted pizza. I threw a frozen p...

hayseeds and horsefeathers: made to order
http://hayseedshorsefeathers.blogspot.com/2009/11/made-to-order.html
Sunday, November 1, 2009. Yesterday was tailor-made: a windy, wet, howling day which then settled into a drippy, dreary full-mooned evening. Fun (and chocolate) was had by all. Ok, not really-but how about some daily ruminations on this, that, and the other thing. Horses some of the time, nonsense almost always). My bags are packed.

hayseeds and horsefeathers: something simple
http://hayseedshorsefeathers.blogspot.com/2009/11/something-simple.html
Thursday, November 5, 2009. I've been known to post some less-than-stellar photos here, and this one is no exception. I just could not get a good shot for love nor money. It does serve to illustrate a simple idea, though. I'd been saving pretty soap and candle wrappers, thinking I'd find a good use for them someday. And here it is:. Must go now, to straighten the slightly wonky frames and read my camera manual. Have a great day. Wow - so creative and beautiful! November 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM.

hayseeds and horsefeathers: August 2009
http://hayseedshorsefeathers.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 27, 2009. The problem is, first they had to grow about seven feet tall. Then, about two weeks ago, teeny tiny heads began to appear, and so far, they only look to be regular-sized. Perhaps with sheer luck and a blast of sunshine, they might grow to be gigantic heads. But I highly doubt it. Because I mostly want to brag about these:. Every summer is a gamble, in terms of vegetable-growing pursuits, isn't it? Links to this post. Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Links to this post. 160;She wr...

Exile on Mom Street
Tuesday, February 2, 2010. The post with no title because everything I tried seemed trite. This post is because of Andrea. Because she asked me why I haven't been blogging, and I realized that it's because I didn't want to talk about this. But I'm doing it anyway. When I become aware of my spirit, I know that I'm in trouble. Then one day I wake up, and I don't want to do anything but cry. I made it through my various other hells. The adoption of our second child. Is still moving forward, albeit slowly...
Gold coast slave ship bound for cotton fields
Gold coast slave ship bound for cotton fields. Sunday, 2 December 2007. It's hard to hold the hand of anyone, who is reaching for the sky just to surrender. The narration, though beautiful to listen to.is pretty pointless. The cinematography is a glorious thing to behold, and when you hire Nick Cave, you know you'll have yourself a perfect score atop those images. Playing a legendary character in Troy.he's succeeded at it here. Wednesday, 27 June 2007. Tuesday, 26 June 2007. Friday, 22 June 2007. I saw t...
