Mary's Mommy Moments. Discussing the ups, the downs and the detours of motherhood. The very best year. June 27, 2016. Its amazing how much can happen in a person’s life in just one year. When I first became pregnant with baby number two, I imagined nesting and enjoying a leisurely year off with my baby and toddler. Not once did it think it would involve selling all my belongings, saying goodbye to friends and family, and moving to another country. But here’s what a year can do. I knew that the fear was s...

The Weavers: August 2015
http://elainaweaver.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 28, 2015. This post is by Andrew. And I a dream a long time ago. A house full of kids. Life. Noise. Family. A dream. For years we tried to conceive. It was not to be. Doctors said it was "unexplained infertility." When they said those words all I could hear was Seinfeld saying "That wasn't the tube or the circle." There has to be a reason, an explanation, a cause, a purpose. You see, we have this dream. Another month has now passed and we find ourselves in a place we never thought we be...

Sunday, May 31, 2015. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Me: Picking up dinner. Seth: Is it something you can eat on the go? Me: Are we doing this again? Seth: Her water broke. It was time. My niece and nephew were coming. I live 59 miles away from the hospital. It was one of the longest drives of my life. I made it to the hospital just in time to see Seth before he went back to be with Melissa. At 7:26 PM Michaelangelo Alexander Ball was born. He weighed 6lb 3oz and was 19" long. She's my teeny tiny. Living Proof...

Finding beauty | Mary's Mommy Moments
https://marysmommymoments.wordpress.com/2016/08/10/finding-beauty
Mary's Mommy Moments. Discussing the ups, the downs and the detours of motherhood. August 10, 2016. I have learned in getting older and having babies, that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. When our eyes are filled with love, joy, peace, hope and security we see what beauty can be. Beauty is ageless, it is faithful, it is uplifting and it comes from deep within. 8221; And when I say yes, he says, “Then smile mommy! Shouldn’t it be that way? If you’re happy smile! The Weavers: Dating Our Children
http://elainaweaver.blogspot.com/2015/07/dating-our-children.html
Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Learning how to meet our children and get to know them. We've compared it to dating and marriage. It's the closest thing that we have experience with. Just like we vowed before God, our family, and friends to love one another no matter what, we vow to love these children no matter what. It's easy right now. We are in the dating phase of our relationship. Everything is new and fun and exciting. But we know the honeymoon phase will eventually end and real life will settle in. We ga...

Sunday, March 29, 2015. Saturday, March 28, 2015. I am absolutely loving the weather we are having this week. It is gorgeous outside. The guys are appreciative of it too. They are working hard on The Barn. The Barn will be storage, a shop for Andrew's woodworking tools, and his new office space. Got to make room in the house for our babies to come home. I call them our babies, but we aren't expecting to adopt babies. They are school aged kids. But they will still be my babies. The Barn is going to be huge.

The Weavers: July 2015
http://elainaweaver.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Friday evening for the first time all ten of us were together. We loaded up into the van and headed home. They were all so excited. Was only asked a few hundred times. When we finally pulled into our drive way they could not get out of the car fast enough. We showed them all of the downstairs and then we began to show them their bedrooms for the first time. The excitement remained at an all time high from the first door until the last. Lots of hands in the kitchen. Sunday morning ...
