Thursday, January 24, 2008. How sick are we? I got a phone call today from Kaysville Elementary saying that Jared had a headache and could I come pick him up and bring him home? Of course, when my child is sick I want nothing more than to be there and do what I can to take care of them. Thirty six years ago today - about 10:00 am, my brother Mark and three of his friends died in an airplane crash in southeastern Idaho, in the hills above his home. It seems so long ago, but I remember it as if it were yesterday. What a hard, sad time in my life, but also a time that I was able to feel comfort and to know the Lord was near.
