BellaTarra Vintage: November 2009
http://bellatarravintage.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Random Musings from an Eccentric Vintageaholic. November 24, 2009. Sharing "Vintage" Memories on Thanksgiving. Can memories be put into a vintage context? They are, after all, remembrances of the past, and although intangible unlike a fine sterling silver teapot or a simple milk jug your grandmother once brought to the table each morning which conjure up memories upon sight, they can be just as powerful in moving our hearts. As I close this post, let me share with you a passage taken from my book. It...

BellaTarra Vintage: Cheers for a Gloomy Day
http://bellatarravintage.blogspot.com/2012/09/cheers-for-gloomy-day.html
Random Musings from an Eccentric Vintageaholic. September 21, 2012. Cheers for a Gloomy Day. Today, to brighten myself up, I bring out some photos of Summer - and of the blossoms and general beauty I did see. These photographs were taken at the Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin. As you can see, lushness and the vibrancy of life abound. (I'd hate to know what their water bill was this summer! So farewell Summer, Bonjour Autumn. May you bring beauty into our lives. Notice the swirling design ...

BellaTarra Vintage: The Allure of Alencon Lace
http://bellatarravintage.blogspot.com/2010/10/allure-of-alencon-lace.html
Random Musings from an Eccentric Vintageaholic. October 6, 2010. The Allure of Alencon Lace. With the overwhelming extravagance and Baroque frill of Versailles, it would be nothing less than expected of this lace. Alencon lace was used not only in clothing ornamentation but as bedspreads, valances, church altars were bedecked with it, priests wore it - as did the King's court "favorites" of the day. I love comments; share your voice with me. Thanks for visiting BellaTarra Vintage! Visit My Online Shop.

Life as I Know it. Pattern: Langstone Harbour Short Row Scarf. Feb 2, 2016 Knitting. Life as I Know it. Still chilly round here, isn’t it? We went for a walk along the shore at one of our local haunts, Langstone, at the weekend to blow away the cobwebs and I could definitely have done with taking this scarf with me. So, do you fancy a nice quick knit that is completely potato chippy, as the Knitmore Girls would say? So onwards for some short-row Pringle knitting hmmm, too golf jumper-esque? W&T: wrap and...
