ホームページを作成する場合、Windowsのメモ帳などでソースコードを入力しても作成することは可能ですが、効率的に作成を進めるためにはやはりオーサリングソフトと呼ばれるホームページ製作ソフトを使用するのが良いと思います。ただ、オーサリングソフトは購入経費が掛かってしまいますので、ちょっとホームページ作成にチャレンジしたいと言う人や手軽に行いたいという人には、フリーで配布されているテキストエディターと言うものを使用するのがお勧めです。現在、ホームページ作成用の主要なオーサリングソフトと言うとMacromedia社の Dreamwever 、Adobe社の Golive 、IBM社の Home Page Billder が挙げられると思います。どれを使うかは好みや予算にもよると思いますが、私の個人的な趣味としてはMacromedia社の Dreamwever がオススメです。初心者の方が手軽に W3Cの推奨っぽく、ページを作成することができると思います。
