Daisy's Book Bag: Doll Bones
http://daisysbookbag.blogspot.com/2015/08/doll-bones.html
Saturday, August 15, 2015. I promised to post about Doll Bones. By Holly Black as soon as I finished it! Well, I did finish it and it was better than I expected it to be! I am not one for spooky or scary books, I just don't like them. So the original cover of Doll Bones. Was a little spooky to me. (The cover has since been changed to be a lot less creepy). I highly recommend Doll Bones. By Holly Black. 5 grade - there is still a little spookiness to it. Click here to see more about Doll Bones. If you hav...

Daisy's Book Bag: Library Reference Game!
http://daisysbookbag.blogspot.com/2013/09/library-reference-game.html
Sunday, September 8, 2013. I have created a new Library Reference Game to teach students common library terminology. Visit my TpT store to see more! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Queen Creek, AZ. This is my 16th year teaching! I have taught 5th and 8th grades and art. I had to park my "art cart" in the school library and that is when I fell in * LOVE* with the library and knew I had found my passion! I have been a school librarian since 2005 and haven't looked back! View my complete profile.

Friday, August 29, 2014. Best Pencil Sharpener. EVER. So I knew I needed to try one out. The Classroom Friendly Sharpener. Is a hand crank sharpener, but not like the old school ones that were loud and annoying from the old days (like when I was in elementary school in the 80s). It isn't silent, but it's pretty quiet. In about a dozen turns the pencil is sharp. Like, REALLY sharp! A perfect point. Every time. Once the pencil is sharpened the sharpener won't let the pencil continue to be eaten up! From) s...

Friday, July 31, 2015. Back to School {Whole Brain Teaching Style}. I get a lot of slack about getting such a long, luxurious, and relaxing 2 months off.when many think all teachers do is hang out by the pool, sleep, and catch-up on countless hours of crap t.v. But honestly, our teacher brains are NEVER OFF! If you are interested in trying WBT or if you have already been using WBT, this book has something for everyone! Here are some of my favorite things from the book:. And the students respond, "Yes?

Daisy's Book Bag: June 2014
http://daisysbookbag.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 10, 2014. I have just finished another great read! Written by Vince Vawter. The book received a Newbery Honor and so well deserved for the first time novelist. Is a sweet story of a boy who helps by taking his vacationing friends paper route. In just one short month, this young boy with a stutter, learns many life lessons and meets some people who will touch his life. I hope you read this book and enjoy it as much as I did. A quick and enjoyable read. For grades 4 and up. The One Safe Place.

Thursday, July 9, 2015. A year, really? It has officially been a YEAR since I have blogged anything on here! Where have I been? What have I been doing? Well, I wish I could tell you I have been skiing the Alps, scaling Mt. Everest, or traveling to see the 7 (or is it 8 now? Wonders of the World. but, alas, I can not. It has been a super crazy, fast moving, roller coaster of a year! Have I read a lot? Not as much as I would have liked, that is for sure. I am currently finishing up Doll Bones. Even though ...
