A matter of choice: January 2015
http://emsyjo.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Slimming World and Fitness. Tuesday, 13 January 2015. Does it snow in Cyprus? You may be surprised to know that it does snow, every year but high in the mountains. You can ski from around December to February (and on a good day get to the beach for a sunbathe in the same day). There are times when many mountain roads are closed to normal vehicles and it's a very popular day out for the novelty value of seeing the snow. We took Leo up the Troodos mountains t. But last week WE HAD SNOW! Look at that snow, ...

A matter of choice: Wonderful Waterworld Fun
http://emsyjo.blogspot.com/2015/07/wonderful-waterworld-fun.html
Slimming World and Fitness. Tuesday, 14 July 2015. Nearly 8 years ago I visited Cyprus for the first time and as we approached Agia Napa I was greeted by the unmissable sight of Waterworld's high flumes as we drove down the highway. I'm such a big kid and I said I couldn't wait to go there! Last year I got my chance, I won a free ticket via the Waterworld facebook page,. It does sound mean but I had an inkling that he wouldn't want to do much and I knew I'd be unable to go on any of the big stuff! In the...

A matter of choice: Interview with a 6 year old
http://emsyjo.blogspot.com/2015/06/interview-with-6-year-old.html
Slimming World and Fitness. Saturday, 13 June 2015. Interview with a 6 year old. For the last three years, inspired by something I saw on pinterest I have interviewed Leo just after his birthday. After last years 'interview with a 5 year old. I decided to avoid Louka trying to steal the limelight and interview with less distractions! You can't quite hear the first couple of answers which were blue as his favourite colour - a strange answer when everyone who knows him knows its ALWAYS red! Since going bac...

A matter of choice: March 2015
http://emsyjo.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Slimming World and Fitness. Thursday, 26 March 2015. More luck than judgement. After last week, and my poor effort at restarting Slimming World which actually saw me putting on weight rather than losing it, I am happy to be able to say that this week I have lost 1lb. I can't say I'm proud of it as it was more by luck than judgement to be honest. Still I have not really planned my meals any further than the next one, and usually then only coming up with a choice at the last minute. What I would really lik...

A matter of choice: Slimming World & Fitness
http://emsyjo.blogspot.com/p/slimming-world.html
Slimming World and Fitness. Slimming World and Fitness. Back in January 2006 I first joined a Slimming World class, I didn't realise back then what a lasting effect it would have on me or how it would actually change my life. Over the course of 2 years I lost 4 stone and got into a dress size I hadn't been able to since I had been 12 years old! I eventually reached my target again after my first pregnancy and am now back on the plan to reach my target again after my second pregnancy. Big Mac in a bowl'.

http://emsyjo.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Slimming World and Fitness. Saturday, 28 February 2015. Winter time fun at Fig Tree Bay. Scrolling down my facebook feed last night I spotted a photo of local beach, Fig Tree Bay being prepared for the summer season, huge piles of sand ready for distribution across the beach. Well that's just asking to be climbed on isn't it! I collected the boys from school and we drove straight there. It was the first time this year that we all kicked off our shoes and felt the sand between our toes. Of course, Leo's t...

A matter of choice: Interview with a 5 year old
http://emsyjo.blogspot.com/2014/07/interview-with-5-year-old.html
Slimming World and Fitness. Thursday, 3 July 2014. Interview with a 5 year old. I've been a little behind on keeping this little blog of mine updated and my little man has been 5 for several weeks now without me posting his yearly interview! Its a couple of weeks old now so knowing him the answers would be different even now, in fact I did video him twice as the first one was a bit of a disaster with him not really paying attention and Louka causing even more chaos than usual. 3 July 2014 at 19:03. Bless...

Slimming World and Fitness. Thursday, 21 May 2015. Supporting the Opening of the Deryneia Checkpoint. Since the launch of the FPN. I am often invited via facebook to all kinds of different events, by all sorts of people, which are often only written in Greek. As much as I try to translate if I can't figure it out I won't share it (it could be anything! And I usually dismiss them until if and when it becomes apparent what they are. 8220;Such an opening will reduce the distance, improve intercommunal relat...

A matter of choice: The Cyprus Problem and why I've never mentioned it
http://emsyjo.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-cyprus-problem-and-why-ive-never.html
Slimming World and Fitness. Sunday, 17 May 2015. The Cyprus Problem and why I've never mentioned it. Although I have a huge interest in the division of Cyprus, and fate of Varosha, opening of the dividing line etc it's something that I have very rarely mentioned on my blog. The reason being is that although I try and find out as much as I can, I am by no means an expert and I wish to avoid getting anything wrong. But despite my reasons I can't presume to understand the depth of feeling for those who have...
