WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU AS A POSTPARTUM DOULA? Show the new parents basic baby care including diapering, holding, bathing, burping, clothing and soothing skills. Give breastfeeding guidance to the mother, including positioning, latch, and supply questions.*. Help organize baby’s supplies and changing areas. Make sure that the new parents are well stocked with food and supplies, preparing light meals and running errands when needed. Watch baby for while parents get a well deserved shower or nap.
