He also shot Barbara Gordon thru the spine and left her paralyzed. Lex Luthor does a lot of posturing - and may have killed a wife or two - but is he responsible for any major character deaths? Wednesday, October 19, 2005. So which are the real comic conventions and which are just hype by a given outlet to peddle their wares? I know Comic-Con in San Diego but that's about it. I don't want to end up at one of those "computer shows" they have every other weekend at the local convention center which are nothing more than fly-by-night vendors peddling their cheap-assed, knock-off wares.
