global textile fusion: Evolution
http://globaltextilefusion.blogspot.com/2010/06/evolution.html
Thursday, June 3, 2010. So this is how my collection has evolved over the last 6 weeks or so. TO ethnic sports wear. TO funky day wear using pleats and shibori dyeing techniques. A summer dressy daywear collection with lots of digital prints of pleats and shibori patterns. And now FINALLY to a transeasonal collection using bleached and printed denim, prints of pleats and shibori patterns. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Thursday, April 29, 2010. So after blogging about Loani. Tea cosies I remembered. My tea cosy that I made for the 2008 Morpeth. Just for something fun to do I used some of the felt I made in my surface form class for uni to make it. I entered it in the soft fabric category and ended up coming third :-). Portraits of a Tea Cosy. 8216;Portraits of a tea cosy is a tribute to all those who make and give tea cosies to their loved ones, and to those who receive and revere them.’. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening". My 1st encounter with Vietnam part 2. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. My 1st encounter with Vietnam. Sunday, March 28, 2010. Quote for the year! I am hoping to find a REBEL GENIUS. I will look for someone who REMINDS ME OF ME. When I was starting out- Someone ORIGINAL, UNIQUE. Who has THEIR OWN STYLE and HANDWRITING.

global textile fusion: Print development
http://globaltextilefusion.blogspot.com/2010/06/print-development.html
Thursday, June 3, 2010. Experimenting with taking photos and scanning in pleats and shibori techniques to create repeat prints for all over and placement digital prints. I am really starting to like the development of my textiles. I am not stuck in Sapa anymore (as Cecelia would say ;-) I am getting out of the village and interpreting it in a contemporary, funky and Rhiannon way. I am actually starting to see my collection now :-). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
