During one of the husband’s typical ramblings about his past he said, I’ve had three women and two dogs. Then after a brief moment of reflection while he took another puff of his cigarette he said, I really loved those dogs. A couple we know were a couple of tables over from us. My wife asked about one of their daughters. "Is she dating anyone? The other woman misunderstood my wife's question. She thought my wife was asking her if SHE was dating anyone. She said, "Who? Then after a short pause he said, "I would have gotten less for murder.". I almost fell out of my seat!
