Fat Man's Family: July 2006
http://fatmansfamily.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
I love my family. My God, what would I be without them? Thursday, July 27, 2006. It's almost like a death. I was seven years old when my sister, Linda, picked me up from school. I was in the first grade in Mrs. Parton's class. My father had died. Before I knew what was going on he was gone. For years I've had dreams about my dad. In almost all of them I would see him and ask him where he's been all this time. I needed him and he was gone. It's a wonder I survived. Several of my friends did not. Then have...

Fat Man's Religion: April 2011
http://fatmansreligion.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am. - Rich Mullins. Friday, April 29, 2011. I don't think I've ever done this before. I think I'll simply paste this directly from an email I received from a friend in North Dakota:. Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott. Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen. Whether acknowledged or unknown.

Fat Man's Family: December 2011
http://fatmansfamily.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
I love my family. My God, what would I be without them? Friday, December 02, 2011. To my beloved son. Sometimes I’m moved to really love a song the very first time I hear it. I still remember the very first time I heard Chris Tomlin’s I Will Rise. I was driving along the highway and nearly had to pull off the road because of the tears and the overwhelming urge to raise my hands high in praise. But more often I’ll barely notice a new song the first few times I hear it. I’ve heard it several times already.

I love my family. My God, what would I be without them? Wednesday, November 08, 2006. I'm still incredibly busy at work and don't have time to blog like I wish I could. But last night's election results forced me to comment on. So I thought I'd give a quick update here before I get back to non-blogging. :o(. Since my last post - 3 months ago! Also, again thanks to my wife's unwaivering faith and prayers, we got Wes enrolled into a. Though small and very remote) this fall. Posted by Greg at 8:45 AM.

http://fatmansfamily.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
I love my family. My God, what would I be without them? Monday, August 29, 2011. Now THIS is REALLY living! My soon-to-be-6-year-old grandson got an oversized blowup baseball bat at a local festival. Naturally, it became the latest of his secret weapons whose sole purpose is to destroy Papaw. We took turns beating each other all over the house with it this weekend. He paused just long enough to say, "Now THIS. Then continued wailing on me with his secret-weapon-specially-designed-to-destroy-Papaw. After ...

I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am. - Rich Mullins. Thursday, July 21, 2011. I didn't discover Rich Mullins until shortly after a tragic accident took his earthly life. His music - his heart - has been a major part of my spiritual development ever since. I've often thought, and still do, that no one could write what he wrote without knowing God intimately. Hmmm Just like Jesus! Then this morning I hear Rich Mullins singing "Bound to Come Some Trouble". You may have noticed that I refer t...
