Planning, creating, cooking, and eating at our nest. Skip to primary content. Here’s the deal. July 25, 2011. Tried the genius salad idea. From DALS featured in last week’s “Links delicious.”. HUGE hit with the fam! The kids loved it and requested that every salad be served that way forevermore. Won’t those plants produce? I married the two bowls and tossed the veggies in a little blush wine vinaigrette { Brianna’s. 8212; my new all-purpose favorite}. Oh my, what a happy accident! Using a standard chocol...

From 1 Cup Awesome. This genius salad idea. Completely unrelated sidenote: I can no longer think, type, or read the word “consumption” without conjuring images of the plague in 16th century England, thanks to my complete fascination of late with The Tudors. Irish actors…check out the cast. Ever made a veggie burger?

Though it would seem perfectly plausible given my month-long (*. Absence from this blog:. A My kitchen has not been under lockdown. B I have not been feeding my family fast food (very often) or “dinners” from the freezer section. C I have not accidentally nipped my own fingers while wolfing down cookies. It’s just, you know, April is. Really, why not?

I find that recipes {and the results} for scones can vary widely, so when I find a good one, I stick with it. Thinking I should add this one. As an aside, in that very same post, Deb mentions a tomato and corn omlette and links to this. Picture. Sheesh, now I want to make. 8212; yes, please! Enter your comment here.

Made by Meridith: UFOs and not the flying type!

http://madebymeridith.blogspot.com/2011/03/ufos-and-not-flying-type.html

Just a little blog about what I like to make.crafts, food, quilts, on and on. Thursday, March 24, 2011. UFOs and not the flying type! UFOs in the quilting world are Un-Finished Objects. In my sewing room, PLENTY of them reside. Samples made and never finished and left over fabric scraps just waiting for inspiration to strike. Soooooo I have been working on these "piles" around my sewing room and it is keeping me plenty busy! Great things are possible! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Just a little blog about what I like to make.crafts, food, quilts, on and on. Tuesday, July 6, 2010. I was trolling several blogs that I follow and one of my favorites the polkadot chair. Had a great pattern on her Tuesday Tutorial! I picked up these really cute fabrics at the shop I used to work at, Susan's Calico Creations. In Fulton, IL. Mom and I went there for a retreat a few weekends ago. These fabrics are so fun and Miss E just loves them. She had fun helping decide the layout of the fabrics!

Just a little blog about what I like to make.crafts, food, quilts, on and on. Thursday, May 20, 2010. I am a member of the Trinity Quilters at my church. We make quilts for graduating Seniors in high school to remind them of their church family when they go off into the next part of their life. I had the great joy to make a quilt for Lynze. She is the daughter of my good friend Anne. To finish the project, I hand quilted it with a "big stitch". Lynze really loves the quilt, which makes me extremely happy!

Feeding the boys

Sunday, July 19, 2015. Mustard and herb-crusted lamb shoulder. Again, this is one of those "non-recipes" that I have :). I used a 4-lb boneless lamb shoulder here. 1 heaping tbsp. whole grain mustard. 1/4 cup olive oil. Big handful of fresh herbs (I used what I had in my herb planter). 2 leaves of sage. Blitz all of the above in a small food processor and rub all over the shoulder. Marinate for 4-6 hours, or overnight, in the fridge. I served this with the drippings (skin off the fat! And some mint jelly.
