It was founded in 2002 by Scott Heiferman, Matt Meeker, and Peter Kamali which was inspired by the book “Bowling Alone.” The founders of Meetup.com were upset with how people didn’t really know others within their own community because they would spend time having online only friendships. Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Because I plan on teaching before I become a school counselor, I want to do my seminar topic on something that would be useful for me and other teachers. I plan to do my seminar topic on lesson plans that involve the use of Flickr. That can be used for classroom teachers and possibly school counselors.
