Wednesday, January 31, 2007. No surf as I've been down south boardless on business for the past four days. Oddly enough the weather felt a lot like San Francisco is supposed to feel this time of year. It's nice to be back but the massive tide swing will be making it hard to surf the next couple days. Monday, July 17, 2006. The Art of Doing Nothing. Just got a message from Lae, my rapper friend saying he's interested in setting up a time to shoot. I'm looking forward to that a lot. Wednesday, August 23, 2006. These shots are from the photoshoot I did with my friend Lae. He's an Oakland hip-hop musician, and he needed some shots for his promo and press pieces. I'm pretty stoked with how they turned out. I attempted to do a bright high contrast shot at a playground prior to this, but I found that these embody my style and the softer quality of light I like to achieve in my portraits more. Monday, May 21, 2007. How I waste some of my time. I'm feeling surf starved. Yes, I did go surfing today and yes, it left much to be desired. I'm attempting to grin and bare it through this nasty flat/wind spell that's been mucking up the water for what seems like weeks now. It's springtime right.it's normal? Tuesday, June 27, 2006. This first image is a shot from the Lab. Eeek. That's me on the right. This was the location of Friday's shoot. Can u believe it? Definately a challenge for me, a claustrophic. I have to say it was one of the most uncomfortable jobs I've worked on. Our entire bodies were covered from head to toe, and we were required to take an air shower previous to entering the lab. It was hot, sterile and just plain weird. What are they building in there? Sunday, February 25, 2007. Wet green moss, heavy fog and a long drive over the mountain on slippery roads. Cold gusty onshores made the beach a victory at sea.
