Life painting art figure figuartive nude. For much of my painting work now, I use reference photographs for a number of reasons. For my cityscapes, I can record detail and colour information that I don’t have time to capture when on a short holiday in an exotic location. When you only have 4 days in venice, you don’t really have the luxury of making paintings for hours on end! Thursday, 9 July 2015. Comic Con Glasgow 2015. No work in progress this week, as I spent the weekend at. Then had to do much more boring things the rest of the week. P Last year was the first year I went to this comic con and I enjoyed myself tremendously, talked to loads of people (friends and strangers), drank wine, and bought comics. Saturday, 9 February 2013. Day 9: Edinburgh work trip. I missed yesterday as I only accompanied my husband to Waitrose and Dales Cycles for a bit of domestic shopping. I was dying a death after over-exerting myself at the studio and the opening! So I skip quickly on to Saturday. Tuesday, 10 April 2012. As a bit of experiment, I have been taking my new iPad to my life drawing sessions. In the past I have made colour studies of the models in oil paint, but the finished boards are never easy to transport, without getting oil paint everywhere!
