The Call of the Wild: April 2009
http://wildfamilychronicles.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
The Call of the Wild. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Of Bon-Bons and Bubble Baths. A pre-teenager, a 9 year old that has hit the dialectic stage phenomenally early, and a 17 month old diabetic toddler that has had wonderful blood sugars lately, but apparently just needs a little character training already. and has an incredibly powerful right arm. Not that occasional immediate rewards are terrible. Oh no, that isn't what I'm saying. Really, I don't know. LOL. I hope so. Saturday, April 11, 2009. I clean up t...

The Call of the Wild: October 2008
http://wildfamilychronicles.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
The Call of the Wild. Friday, October 31, 2008. My daughter is memorizing this for her Bible class. As she practiced and I read along, the words jumped out at me. Every single line had SOMETHING new to say to me. The word of God is so powerful. I wish I had more minutes to spend devouring it. Read it, maybe it will do something for you too. 1"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part;.

The Call of the Wild: certifiably crazy
http://wildfamilychronicles.blogspot.com/2008/12/certifiably-crazy.html
The Call of the Wild. Monday, December 15, 2008. We regret to inform you that the author of this blog has been involved in an elaborate deception. Apparently, this person has led everyone to believe that she can handle WAY more than she is capable of handling. Consequently, everyone has given her far too many responsibilities and she has happily accepted them. This person has now been locked up in an unnamed facility and has been declared certifiably insane. Tell me where you are! I'd join you anyway.

The Call of the Wild: Birthday Fun
http://wildfamilychronicles.blogspot.com/2008/12/birthday-fun.html
The Call of the Wild. Wednesday, December 3, 2008. November is a crazy month at the Cook house. Hence the lack of Blog posts etc. In fact, most people I know probably think I have just fallen off of the planet. But, Alas, I have not! I made these cookies for Rachel's class and their "fall party". It was a potluck thing. Lots of great food! Anyway. I thought the cookies turned out pretty nice. The leaves were way more work than they're worth. So. I took a picture. December 4, 2008 at 5:18 PM. Sweet pictur...

Our Miracle: April 2009
http://avamilagroferia.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 5, 2009. I can't believe it was one year ago that we had to say goodbye to Ava. She was such a fighter. The doctors didn't even think she would make it full term. She actually scored a 9 on her apgar (whatever that is:-) I just know it's a good number. And she cried! Is one's life more significant just because they live longer? She lived for 35 days. Pair that with the 283 days that she lived inside of me and that is a whopping 318 days of life! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Living One Day At A Time!: June 2014
http://djnme.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Living One Day At A Time! My best friend who I married 35 years ago had a stroke on March 31, 2008. This blog is dedicated to him and his recovery. Wednesday, June 4, 2014. On May 23, 2014, Kalen graduated from Norman High. Doug's Mom, Dad, sister (Vicki) and brother-in-law (Steve) came from Missouri to celebrate with us. It was a good day. Thank you to all of the family members and friends that sent Kalen graduation money. We are very proud of our boy. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Our Family - May 2009.

Our Miracle: Do you know...?
http://avamilagroferia.blogspot.com/2008/05/do-you-know.html
Tuesday, May 27, 2008. I don't even know how long it has been since she left us. I don't really want to know. It hurts so bad. Right now I could just scream at everyone I come in contact with. I can hardly stand to be around people. It is too draining. I just want to tell everyone to SHUT UP! Do you know what it's like to have to stop feeding your baby because she refuses it and it causes her distress? Knowing that it should be lasting four hours but it only lasts for one? Do you know what it is like to ...

The Call of the Wild: Too Long...
http://wildfamilychronicles.blogspot.com/2009/01/too-long.html
The Call of the Wild. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. It has been far too long since I have posted. A lifetime has transpired in one short month. Literally. When I have the energy, I will write about it. In the mean time, I was just putting the sweet little baby boy down for a nap. Snuggling him in my arms, kissing that cute little place between the nose and forehead, and smiling so happily at him. Then, I started thinking. Just simple, happy, can't control the world or life, but trusting in God.me. Why is it...

Philosophy of Running: July 2009
http://philosophyofrunning.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2009. I'm pretty happy to announce that I'm officially back on the running train. And very appropriately, I'm just chugging along (as in slowly but surely) with hopes of running in the Malibu Marathon in November. I've been working back into the routine since about May, and boy has it been an uphill battle! I don't think I'll EVER take a winter off from exercise again, injured or NOT! I WILL join a gym and swim, bike, or whatever. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
