January 11, 2011 · 16:22. 11-25-10 Making it look EZ with a 7.5lbs. Lake Okeechobee (out of Clewiston). WATER COLOR and VISIBILITY. Clean (even in hard bottom areas on the main lake). Partly to mostly cloudy in the morning till 10ish, lighter winds all day 5-10 E, becoming sunny and warm with highs in the low 80’s. I didn’t juice the spots so hopefully they’ll hold up for the tournament in a few days; if the weather stays consisitent I wouldn’t be surprised to see a ton of bedding fish on this flat.

January 11, 2011 · 16:03. Lake Okeechobee (out of Moore Haven). WATER COLOR and VISIBILITY. Clean in the grass, muddier into open water pocket/main lake. Full moon, partly cloudy, lows in the low 60’s, highs in the upper 70’s, winds 20 E. The area looked awesome but was getting a bit of fishing pressure. There are defitely some big fish in there. It’s just a matter of figuring out what to focus on (isolated or continual, type of vegetation, and how deep in to flip). Filed under November, 2010.

First Day on Lake Kissimmee. Posted in Winter Fishing Journal. I heard the cold weather was coming so I spent the day on Lake Kissimmee this past Sunday in warm 80 degree weather with hardly any wind at all. It’s probably the best weather I will see in the next several weeks. It’s absolutely amazing how much the grass changes from year to year.
