Eresfjord, Norway - 5th Aug. 2017, 05:00 hrs. Eresfjord, race village (Start, T1, T2). Is a village in Nesset Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway on the Romsdal Peninsula. The village, reknowned for its nature with world class skiing, hiking and salmon fishing, is located along the Eira River between the Eresfjorden and the lake Eikesdalsvatnet. The mountain Skjorta lies just to the east of the village. Eikesdalen (bike turning point).

Eresfjord, Norway - 5th Aug. 2017, 05:00 hrs. Is most easily reached by car as public transportation to the village is limited. Cars can be rented in the three larger towns in the area, Molde, Åndalsnes and Kristiansund, all approx. 1 hours drive from Eresfjord. The drive from Oslo to Eresfjord takes 6-7 hours, depending on traffic. 75 km from Eresfjord) is the end station of the spectacular Rauma Railway (www.nsb.no) , which connects the Møre and Romsdal county to Oslo and Trondheim by train.

Eresfjord, Norway - 5th Aug. 2017, 05:00 hrs. Swim (3.8 km). The swim will take place in Eikesdalsvatnet, a freshwater lake filled by the water from North Europe s highest waterfall, the nearby Mardalsfossen. Start and finish will be at the old ferry quay at the FV192/FV191 intersection in Eresfjord and athletes will do two loops. The water temperature is usually between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius. Wetsuits are mandatory and athletes should accustom themselves to swimming in cold water. Bike ( 200 km).
