It is July and I finally decide I must just go ahead and use sky miles to get my ticket finalized. August twenty second is my date of departure with an October 2 return date. 38 days – who does that? What will the weather be like? At least there will be Laundromats and some of our stays will be in apartments surely allowing us to wash some clothes on our way.

On my short detour I saw some places to eat so the group decides to heads up the hill in that direction I was lost in and decide on Jamies Italian restaurant for our evening meal. Take a venture through the canyons and hills of my mind. Friday, 20 August 2010. An afternoon with Meccano. Just imagine, this was once a few pieces of metal in a box. Last week, on a road trip on Vancouver Island, I had a look in an antique emporium and to my delight, discovered a very old, just about complete Meccano set from the 1950s or 1960s. This was a treasure find. 8221; my dad would say if I wanted a Han Solo action figure or a new toy car. Pah It’s not in the dictionary. Am I an old schmo?

Eating would not be a problem. However, one would be sorely mistaken. I am surrounded by Heavy Cream, Deep Fryers, Butter, all sorts of Animal Fats, Dairy, and thank god because I work in a 4 Diamond Fine dining establishment, all sorts of Veg. Guess What, I HAVE to eat it all, or at least constantly taste it.
