Calvin, emily, zachary, and austin. Monday, July 15, 2013. In the morning we packed up camp and headed just down the road to the Moffat Tunnel to do some hiking. We have been meaning to go there for years, and this campground was so close that it worked out perfectly. We got to watch a couple of trains go through the tunnel. He and Papa have been taking pictures and posting them on a website called project noah. He is excited about it and always wanting me to take bug pictures. We had such late snow this year. Calvin, emily, zachary, and austin. Thursday, November 14, 2013. Pumpkin carving. We had a good time, but neither boy was excited about touching the "pumpkin guts.". Can you guess who carved each pumpkin? The boys really wavered this year when they were trying to choose costumes. Austin was excited to be a "workerman," and once we had that idea he stuck with it. Since we were on the west side of the island we were able to enjoy a couple of gorgeous sunsets. We ate all of our meals at the resort, most sitting in this exact spot. Not bad. We thought about going in to town to eat, but by the time we paid for a taxi it was going to cost us more. And really, how can you compete with this? I've ...

Calvin, emily, zachary, and austin. Sunday, September 22, 2013. Tons of pictures.sorry. :). We went on a nice hike by Mad Creek. I can't remember the name for sure? We stopped and ate lunch on these rocks in the river. It was so peaceful and relaxing! The "Mad Barn.". It was built in 1906, but had been restored and was open to explore. We even got to go up in the loft:. It's really hard to show just how many wildflowers there were, EVERYWHERE. I loved it! The lupine was amazing. It was a great weekend!

Calvin, emily, zachary, and austin. Tuesday, April 29, 2014. I've been such a slacker on the blog lately. There are a million things I could blog about, but of all of them spring break sounds like the most fun. After the pool we finished the drive to Moab. It was late afternoon as we arrived, so we headed straight into Arches before going to our hotel to get in a quick hike. We hiked Park Avenue and it was such a beautiful time of day to be there! It was glowing and peaceful and a fun hike.
