Saturday, July 28, 2012. Strep Throat Like a Dog. Warning: I didn't proofread this, so sorry for any spelling errors or anything that just doesn't make sense. So, I have strep throat. Of course I do. My blerg coworker. It's partially my own fault that I had to go in to work. RR. I realize that I'm making my coworkers sound unappealing. But my point wasn't to talk badly about them but to point out my own flaw. Why do I do this? You can, by the way. But on a happier note, Olympics! Wednesday, July 11, 2012.

Saturday, September 29, 2012. Korea Trip: Back Home Again. At the airport, we returned our rented cell phone and bought a few things at some of the shops at the airport. They have some pretty nice shops at that airport. I could probably spend a whole day there. And I could be wrong, but the prices didn't seem as marked up as the stuff at the U.S. airports I've been to. That seems a little over dramatic. Probably I have been watching too many k-dramas. Another problem with the flight? Him: "Well, like I t...

Monday, July 15, 2013. The Dentist, The Lasers, and The Chews. So, that stomach ache I mentioned in my last post is still happening. But that's ok! I eat a lot of toast, and that helps. Drinking water does not. But I'm really thirsty lately, so I do it anyway. I had to get three fillings at the dentist the other day. The assistant told me they would be using a laser, and my reaction was basically, "wait, what? Thank you very much. I know what lasers can do. In my defense, ginger chews help a lot with tha...

Sunday, October 28, 2012. Pop Culture Filler 'Cause My Brain is Fried. I’ve been working on some other posts, but work has pretty much consumed my life lately, so it’s slow going. But I didn’t want to completely abandon my blog until things cool down, so I thought I’d write something quick about entertainment/pop culture. Filler material, this is what my blog has become! Pretend it's very insightful. At the end of the video: dancing ninjas. So, anyway, apparently Junsu came out with a solo album as well,...

impatient chicken: Movie Preview: No Tears for the Dead
http://impatientchicken.blogspot.com/2014/04/movie-preview-no-tears-for-dead.html
Saturday, April 19, 2014. Movie Preview: No Tears for the Dead. This summer, the new movie "No Tears for the Dead" will come out in Korea and, hopefully, here in the States as well. It's directed by Lee Jeong-beom (이정범), the man who directed "Ajusshi/The Man From Nowhere," which you know I loved. The only thing that's giving me pause is the fact that I think his tattoo says "crack whore." Um, what? Yep, count me in. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. impatient chicken: Birthday Part I: In Which I Thought The Day Would Suck, But It Didn't

Monday, March 28, 2011. Birthday Part I: In Which I Thought The Day Would Suck, But It Didn't. You know how sometimes you have the same birthday as one of your coworkers, and most of your coworkers remember it's his birthday but not yours, and they have this big to-do for him, but not for you? Yeah, I hate that. I sent her an email to say thank you, and in response, she came into my office to tell me happy birthday in person and to apologize for only giving me one box. She's sweet like that. Then yet ano...

impatient chicken: January 2013
http://impatientchicken.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 24, 2013. In which I implement yet another strategy for becoming an early riser, which will probably fail like all the rest. I've thought for awhile now that I should order a daylight alarm clock (a/k/a sunrise alarm clock). I am not a morning person. It's possible that Adam Dachis. Made this image to describe my reaction to someone waking me up. It's not something I'm proud of. But I'll probably try it anyway because I cannot resist new gadgets. Wednesday, January 23, 2013. I would rat...

Tuesday, June 11, 2013. It's been too long since I posted, but at least I have nothing interesting to say. So, apparently I last blogged 4 months ago. Tempus fugit, and all that. Anywho, let's get down to it. That alarm clock I bought. No, just birds. The daylight part of the alarm- the bulb that slowly increases in brightness until the time the alarm is set for- really does work to wake me up and to help me stay awake. Not only have I been getting to work on time, I've been getting there early. We also ...

Sunday, August 12, 2012. Korea Trip, Part I. It's about time I posted something about our trip to Korea, right? Today I'm going to talk mostly about the travel part, so no sight-seeing adventures will be recounted. Tuesday, the day we arrived at the airport here in the States. We were a little worried that our bags were over the weight limit, but thankfully they were ok. We had a suitcase full of food, for one thing, and we couldn't leave any of that behind, lest we starve while in Korea. Anyway, our sea...

Sunday, January 30, 2011. This would be the path where normal people run! The weird triathlete training complex is somewhere else! Also this month: had to replace all four tires on my car. One of my tires was completely flat when I went to leave work one day, and the other three were apparently pretty worn out. Also, I think I might have a cold. And that's just the least. Of my January troubles. So I think maybe January is out to get me. Never give up, never surrender! Running, is always telling me how g...
