This easy to make dip has suble flavors to it. Take 1 cup boiled chickpeas. Remove the outer skin of as many chickpeas as possible, this will make hummus gastrically friendly), toss them in blender or food processor, add 1 small garlic clove. To taste, 1 tsp lemon juice. Simple things bring joy to life, today while I was preparing chapati (Indian flat bread), one chapati puffed up so nice and round that it rolled like a ball from my stove top and into my hands, this made me chuckle and I thought food itself likes to play with me a bit. 1 cup basmati rice cooked with 2 cups of water for 9 mins in microwave 100% power. 1 medium sized potato cut in half length wise and then cut other way into 1/2 cms slices, forming nice half cirles. 1 cup mint leaves.

Wednesday, November 08, 2006. Eggless Black Forest Cake. Milkmaid/Condensed Milk- 1 can. Maida- 1.5 cups. Butter - 3/4 cup. Cocoa- 4 tbsp heaped. Cherry Pie Filling Can-1. Lightly grease and flour 2 baking round pans. Preheat oven to 300F. Melt Butter and add condensed milk. Sift Maida, baking powder, soda and cocoa. Tamarind paste : 1 tsp. Oil, Mustard Seeds, Urad Dal and Channa Dal for tampering. 1 Put oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. After they sputter, add chana dal and urad dal. Once they turn brown, add the finely cut karela. 3 Meanwhile, grind the fried gram, coconut, red chilly powder into a fine paste with water.
