Food For Thought Books was an independent, not-for-profit, workers' collective bookstore in Amherst, MA that started in 1976. The bookstore was forced to close in June of 2014 due to severe financial difficulties. Below is a photography project by Abbey Entner for a community-based learning class at University of Massachusetts. It does a nice job of summing up how people felt about Food For Thought Books and the role it played in the political and cultural life of the Pioneer Valley.
