Pedals and Pints: SF Beer Week 2012 Recap
http://pedalsandpints.blogspot.com/2012/02/sf-beer-week-2012-recap.html
One girl, one gabillion beers. Saturday, February 25, 2012. SF Beer Week 2012 Recap. I did the terribly over-emotional recap here. Last year, and I stand by it. I could write the same thing again, with a little more familiarity and a few more friends, but the idea is the same. Every year, I get to live through ten days that remind me how lucky I am to be a part of what I believe is the strongest craft beer community in the country, and I am so grateful for that opportunity. Pedals and Pints: October 2010
http://pedalsandpints.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
One girl, one gabillion beers. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Mission Gastroclub Session 17: Spice. It seems I've been running in to Eric. Any Younger."), Eric told us about Mission Gastroclub. A week later, the invite popped up and Harry and I snagged four of the fourteen spots. The other ten were gone within seven minutes of the email going out. Then Jesse posted about them. The invite list is expanding by the day. I'm a little afraid I'll never be able to go to one again. The theme for the night was Spi...

Pedals and Pints: Thoughts on SF Beer Week Opening Gala
http://pedalsandpints.blogspot.com/2011/02/thoughts-on-sf-beer-week-opening-gala.html
One girl, one gabillion beers. Saturday, February 12, 2011. Thoughts on SF Beer Week Opening Gala. It's really hard to deal with the fact that so many people are getting into craft beer, isn't it? And THIS is our reward? And annoys me. Again - first world. At All Over Beer, so I'll save myself the breath needed for that one. We arrived late, which is a combination of my mistake and Muni being Muni. Delays I am incapable of understanding meant we got there around 6. I had been reading the updates ...So, o...

Pedals and Pints: August 2010
http://pedalsandpints.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
One girl, one gabillion beers. Sunday, August 15, 2010. Dogfish Head Dinner at Monk's Kettle. On August 4th, I was privileged to attend the Dogfish Head dinner at Monk's Kettle with three close friends. Apologies in advance for no photos - I decided to just live in the moment and not snap away. And that's honestly too bad, because some of the dishes were absolutely beautiful, and I wish I could take a look at them again. A couple of notes that I have nothing to do with the food or the beer:. And then you...

Pedals and Pints: July 2011
http://pedalsandpints.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
One girl, one gabillion beers. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. I have never been as excited for a beer release as I have been for Almanac Beer Co.'s. This is different. I'm (mostly) proud to call Jesse Friedman a friend. (Ego-checking Jesse throughout this post is about to become really important.) When I first moved to the city, his blog. It's an awful picture, but it makes me laugh so much that it gets included here. And just look at how happy this beer makes people. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I also live a...

Pedals and Pints: Reflections on SF Beer Week
http://pedalsandpints.blogspot.com/2011/02/reflections-on-sf-beer-week.html
One girl, one gabillion beers. Monday, February 21, 2011. Reflections on SF Beer Week. I attended 19 beer events over the course of seven days. That's 19 events all within a five mile radius of my house. You don't have to go back to 2008 and slap me; I don't need it. You could gently tell me how much I was about to learn and how much my life was about to change, though. Moving to a completely new area of the country prepped with a really solid knowledge base from somewhere else just turns you into a kid ...

Pedals and Pints: Mission Cheese, Week 1
http://pedalsandpints.blogspot.com/2011/04/mission-cheese-week-1.html
One girl, one gabillion beers. Thursday, April 21, 2011. Mission Cheese, Week 1. They do. And at $4 per generous taste, you can afford to find a whole slew of new favorites. The cheese menu alone is reason to go, but I've heard that their sandwiches are top notch as well. News on the block today was that their beer and wine license finally came through, so you should expect to see me as a regular fixture there within a couple of weeks. Pedals and Pints: December 2010
http://pedalsandpints.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
One girl, one gabillion beers. Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Beer for Wine Lovers. Advance warning: This post is pretty unpolished and was born out of a casual email to a friend last night. I plan to update it over time (and will need to, because some of these beers are temporary and I'd like to keep it topical), and I'm rushing to Ohio in 24 hours, so this is the amount of polish I've been able to put on it so far. My friend and fellow beer blogger Jeff. As of tomorrow, I'm hopping across the country for ...

Pedals and Pints: The Summit/Beer & Nosh Tasting Dinner
http://pedalsandpints.blogspot.com/2011/04/summitbeer-nosh-tasting-dinner.html
One girl, one gabillion beers. Friday, April 1, 2011. The Summit/Beer and Nosh Tasting Dinner. You know how it goes, right? Well, try to imagine. Its pairing was a Scallop and Citrus Ceviche. Those big orange pieces on the plate? That's ale carbonated citrus. How is it possible, if science allows such a thing, that all citrus doesn't come ale carbonated? It had stiff competition, of course, from a pastry filled with Tallegio cheese, paired with a Double IPA. The foie torchon was a little too much for me&...
