Roz Ka Khana: Homemade Lollipops - Sugar Candy without thermometer
http://projectindiancooking.blogspot.com/2013/05/homemade-lollipops-sugar-candy-without.html
Everyday food made interesting! Sunday, May 12, 2013. Homemade Lollipops - Sugar Candy without thermometer. You can use so many different flavours, and use a combination of colours to make something like a rainbow lollipop. But for starters, and to be on the safe side, I made a strawberry flavoured lollipop in rose pink colour. It looks good, to me it even tastes good. But I am wondering how Saee will receive it. She has been gone on a vacation for seven days, and I am missing her like crazy! The drop sh...

http://projectindiancooking.blogspot.com/2011/07/kurkuri-bhindi-or-jaipuri-bhindi.html
Everyday food made interesting! Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Kurkuri Bhindi or Jaipuri Bhindi. This is my Saee's favorite recipe and it comes in line with a lot of you requesting bhindi or okra recipes from me. I am very sorry for the delay though, have been caught up with a lot of work lately. I have a lot of catching up to do here too. In the meanwhile, savor this recipe. It has all the textures, soft, crispy and crunchy all at the same time. 1 cup gram flour (besan). 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. I dont know ho...

Roz Ka Khana: Khichiya Papad
http://projectindiancooking.blogspot.com/2013/05/khichiya-papad.html
Everyday food made interesting! Saturday, May 11, 2013. I love eating at roadside dhabas. In particular, I love eating at this dhaba called Kathiyawad ne Angane, which falls en route Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway, just a couple of meters after the Bhayandar bridge. The best thing about this place is their simplicity. No frills, no decorations, just lovely delicious food. Their bajra no rotlo. They serve you freshly made maakhan. Here's what I did. 1 and 1/2 cups rice flour. 1 and 1/2 cups water. Once the wate...

Roz Ka Khana: January 2013
http://projectindiancooking.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Everyday food made interesting! Tuesday, January 22, 2013. I did make a few changes though. After all, what's the point of posting a recipe, if all you are doing is copying it from another source. First of all,I used moong sprouts and white peas instead of matki (moth beans), and secondly, I added a little sugar in the usal. It offsets the tanginess and spiciness of the missal. 1/2 cup moong sprouts soaked overnight. 1/2 cup white peas (safed watana) soaked overnight. 1/4th tsp mustard seeds. I was tired...

Roz Ka Khana: Sabudana Papdi
http://projectindiancooking.blogspot.com/2013/05/sabudana-papdi.html
Everyday food made interesting! Saturday, May 11, 2013. Face it. I love my papads and pickles. There doesn't seem to be a way in the near future that I may lose my weight. But I am too loathe to give up my fried and oily delicacies. I usually need something deep fried even on days I fast. These papdis are for those days. What you will need. 2 cups sabudana (sago). 2 tsp cumin seeds. Soak sabudana with water enough to cover upto 1 inch above the level. Let them soak for about two hours. It is Monday, agai...

Roz Ka Khana: Mori Masala (Small Sharkfish Curry)
http://projectindiancooking.blogspot.com/2011/11/mori-masala-small-sharkfish-curry.html
Everyday food made interesting! Monday, November 21, 2011. Mori Masala (Small Sharkfish Curry). The best part about making Shark fish is that there is only that one central bone. There are no other bones, and the meat is really soft, fleshy and full of flavor. My mother makes this recipe in the typical Goan style. I followed a different recipe however, and the curry turned out to be really good. 1 small sharkfish cleaned and chopped into medium sized pieces. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds. 2 inch piece of cinnamon.

Life, the Universe and all that Jazz. 7 Deadly Kinds of Twitter Followers. AN ODE TO MODERN POETRY. March 10, 2011. 8220;MY COLORLESS SOLITUDE”. As my skeptical mind wonders. How many out there can really write. Versus how many think they can. And make you and me believe it. For our brains don’t understand. Damn, I think I just rhymed. That’s not how real bards do it. Rhyming is for dilettantes; ne’er for them. Is not about rhyme. What it also isn’t about. It’s not conventional, for convention is passé.
