I normally don't go for the higher necklines in Dirndl dresses, preferring the lower open bosom style with the blouse underneath. This one struck me though; I love the color, it can be worn without the blouse as a sundress if I want to, and it has some neat raised detail (hard to see in photo) on the bodice. I found it when I went traveling in Germany a long time ago and keep it tucked away for safe keeping! I'm too protective of it to use it! But, it's a start :). Tried to take a shot of the sweet little flowers that lined it. And then my kitten got jealous and that was the end of that! And find a pink one! Because you can never have enough dirndl's!

I had to get a photo, and the light at my dressing table was just right ;-). We were headed to a showing of my favorite film, Amadeus (director's cut) at a local theater called The Retro Dome here in San Jose, Ca. I always loved the look of dirndl dresses but couldn't imagine them being comfy and practical.
