Tacoma Urban Garden: April 2016
http://tacomaurbangarden.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html
Garden Recipes and Hints. Monday, April 11, 2016. Love this Purple Greenbean! I love, love, love the Trionfo Violetto bean seed. It is long and slender and stringless when you pick it early and if you forget one ( and there are so many) it is a perfect long thick stringless romano type bean. I am planting an extra row along my back fence for the food bank. Lark and Fred Moore own and manage M&M Irrigation and Tacoma Urban Gardens. http://tacomaurbangarden.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Garden Recipes and Hints. Thursday, July 31, 2014. It's September and we finally have RED tomatoes! It has taken many years of disappointment but I have learned patience in waiting for a ripe "red" tomato. In the NW we don't seem to have those wonderful six weeks of tomato abundance. We always finish the autumn with our plants hanging upside down in the garages hoping to pull a few more of those tasty home grown tomatoes. 6 roma (plum) tomatoes, chopped - I use whatever is ripe. If they are too moist...

Garden Recipes and Hints. Thursday, November 19, 2015. Muffin Quiche in a Cup ( Zucchini Style). My sister, Carol, is a fabulous cook. She really tries to make all of her dishes low cal/carb, nutritious and beautiful. What I love is knowing they are recipes I will use again and again. She is always on the look out for what she calls "fast and fabulous" dishes. At our niece's "after wedding brunch", Carol magically pulls out this wonderful Egg and Sausage Muffin Quiche. Garden Recipes and Hints. Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Keeping Berries Fresh. A Little Longer. The weekend comes and you are appalled to find all your work has only yielded containers of furry fruit that didn't make it to the preparation day. This is also true for the fruit you picked up at the farmer's market, out of the back of a farm truck or when you stopped at the stand by the highway. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tacoma Urban Garden: Parmesan Zucchini Rounds
http://tacomaurbangarden.blogspot.com/2014/06/parmesan-zucchini-rounds.html
Garden Recipes and Hints. Wednesday, June 25, 2014. The Zucchini are here. what to do with them all? This appetizer it very tasty. but it is one that doesn't travel all that great. Make it at home when you can pull it out of the oven and eat immediately. 1-2 Zucchini sliced into rounds ( Keep them the same size for even baking). Coat each piece of zucchini with a good olive oil. Take it easy with the oil, a thin coat will do. I use a left over produce bag and rub from outside. Eat From Your Garden.

Tacoma Urban Garden: August 2014
http://tacomaurbangarden.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Garden Recipes and Hints. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Cauliflower Salad/ Mock Potato Salad. Everyone in my office has been talking about a new Pintrest post using cauliflower instead of potatoes for a mock potato salad. We are all looking at cutting carbs so it seemed like a good time to volunteer to bring the "potato" salad to the staff picnic on my deck. It was easy to make and one person didn't know that they were eating cauliflower until we all started commenting on it. 1 head of cauliflower. Lark and ...
