Romancing the Home: Art of Editing Your Home
http://romancingthehomeltd.blogspot.com/2015/08/art-of-editing-your-home.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Art of Editing Your Home. My friend, Linda D. has this incredible eye for design. Some how, she has the ability to scout out the most beautiful treasures in all of Chicagoland and I just get green with envy. Today, I finally got the chance to see the new condo that she and her husband have been renovating for the past 3 months. She has taken a more edited approach with her decorating style and I have to say- " it really makes her treasures take center stage". Mirrored chests ad...

Romancing the Home: August 2014

Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Western North Carolina- Summertime Delight. I just returned from spending the past 5 weeks in western North Carolina, or WNC, as it is locally called. My friend, Jill, and I rented a cottage on a goat farm. Family and friends visited during our stay, but our time was primarily spent planning her daughter's wedding next spring, and finding retirement property for my husband and I to build a home. Mission accomplished! Early in the morning fog cover in the pasture-. The natural ...

Monday, September 22, 2014. St Louis Wedding through the Eyes of the Groom's Mother. What can be better in life than attending a destination wedding with a close group of friends? But first of all, let me explain something very important to this story. My close friends and I are friends with the mother of the groom. So our little bird's eye view of the upcoming nuptials were completely through her crazy Italian eyes. And I can assuredly state that no. So my quick witted friend Laurell goes shopping with ...

Romancing the Home: October 2014

Thursday, October 30, 2014. Holiday Pop-Up is One Week Away! One week from tonight, we will hold our final Holiday Event. We have been busy creating lots of holiday décor for our customers. I have just completed a collection of Santos cage dolls. They are dressed in relics of old fabrics, trims and embellishments. They would look perfect on a buffet or mantle with a grouping of large candlesticks for the holidays. From a street artisan in San Miguel, Mexico- hand made crosses with tiny metal findings.

Romancing the Home: Culinary Finds from France
http://romancingthehomeltd.blogspot.com/2015/07/culinary-finds-from-france.html
Thursday, July 30, 2015. Culinary Finds from France. After packing up all my stuff and putting it into storage, I find myself longing for pretty things. I know I am in the "rental" while we build our dream house, but does it have to be so dull? Five days later, my treasures from France arrived. Time for a celebration! There's always that little question lingering in your mind- - do they look as good in person as they do on the internet site? And I am happy to report, that they did! And just to keep that ...

Living Life With The Ones I LOVE! Wednesday, September 10, 2014. I bought a new David Austin Tree Rose called Mayflower. Last spring. It is suppose to be "completely" resistant to blackspot, rust and mildew which I have a problem with in my backyard. It has been flowering all summer and so far no rose diseases have shown up. I love it. Posted by Janie Gore. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Chenonceau, Loire Valley, France 2014. View my complete profile. Mr and Mrs Greg Ricks. On her wedding day. Acadia Nation...

Living Life With The Ones I LOVE! Monday, February 24, 2014. Over the weekend, we went to Cinepolis, a luxury theater to watch 3 Days to Kill. The movie was great, a lot of action and a cute story of a father getting to know his daughter. Me enjoying the movie. Worth every extra dollar. This book was a page turner, I really enjoyed it. The author finds those old weird photos and weaves a story around them. Posted by Janie Gore. Monday, February 3, 2014. For an added bonus, John O'Hurley played Billy Flyn...
Janie's World: Books I Couldn't Put Down
http://janiegore.blogspot.com/2014/11/books-i-couldnt-put-down.html
Living Life With The Ones I LOVE! Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Books I Couldn't Put Down. I know I'm reading a good book when I find myself not being able to put it down after my allotted "1 hour before bedtime" reading slot. I look up and all of a sudden it is 11:30 or so and I have to force myself to put down the book and go to sleep. An oldie, but a goodie; a little scary and a thriller. Graphic descriptions, not too many, but be ready for it. Incredible story, what a summer! Great book, good ending!

From City Lights to Clear Skies
Oncontextmenu="returnfalse;" expr:class='"loading" data:blog.mobileClass'. Saturday, December 31, 2016. I'm happy to say that I kept up with my blog a little better this year :-) There were definitely times I got behind, but overall, I've got some great memories stored. A theme for 2016 would definitely be travel, and I think I'll reflect on that quite a bit. So what were we up to in 2016? What did you do this year that you had never done before? I went to Hawaii! And I cliff jumped while I was there :-).

From City To CT
From City To CT.
