At the meeting we also discussed future plans and broke off into committees with special responsibilities for our trip. We have an advocacy committee, communications committee, gifts committee, taking it back committe, and an in-kind donations committee. 2 hours until Rebuilding Rwanda- an advocacy and fundraising event at @ UWHillel.

To distract us from the rain, Miki taught us how to make origami paper cranes so that we could make one for each student in the village, a total of 375. UW Hillel does Rwanda. Newer posts →. March 16, 2011 · 3:08 am. Tikkun Olam- Repair the World. It is an inspirational movie about the genocide, with a theme of forgiveness and insight into the way religion played a role in saving thousands of people in 1994. After the film, the producers stayed for Q and A, which we feel very fortunate to have had. We learned about the role genocide plays in education and other aspects of present-day Rwandan culture.
