From the Crap Room

Saturday, January 14, 2012. I found this lovely artwork on my computer screen. It permanent marker. Yea. I will be google searching how to remove that ASAP. Tutorial (thanks to pinterest) to turn my profile photos into silhouettes, and added their names in a fun script. I did cut my silhouettes and letttering out of vinyl with my Cricut once I had made them in photoshop, but I really could have just printed them on white cardstock. Anyway, quick easy project, and I am in love this these! But I like a lit...

From the Crap Room: Back to School

http://fromthecraproom.blogspot.com/2011/08/back-to-school.html

Sunday, August 21, 2011. Sorry I have been MIA lately, it's been BEYOND crazy around here! The house is about 2 weeks (fingers crossed) from being completed - which means massive amounts of finishing touches and projects for me! I bought these super-cute Pottery Barn Kids backpacks and lunchboxes at DownEast Home during their tent sale this summer for really really cheap. I mean REALLY cheap. The lunchboxes were $1.49 and the backpacks were $3 - $5. Seriously. I couldn't NOT buy them. Lady's instructions...

Wednesday, April 27, 2011. This microwave is so cool! It totally changes your layout options in the kitchen! Check it out HERE. Posted by Handy Mandy :). Thursday, April 21, 2011. I changed the entire layout of the master bathroom. For the third time. I think our framers are going to kill me in my sleep. I can't help it, things look so much different in 3d than on paper! Still, it's coming together, and I am glad we changed the master bath :). Posted by Handy Mandy :). Monday, April 18, 2011. OH, and it ...

Thursday, July 28, 2011. I know I said never again. but. I am kind-of debating doing THIS. To my stairs. I know, I know, enough with the painted wood. But I can't help it, I just love it. AND I am a glutton for punishment :) Here are some fun ideas I have run across, we will see what I can talk the hubs into :). Gray would be cool. We know how I LOVE this pattern :), although probably a little much on the stairs. So fun and different! Posted by Handy Mandy :). Up close and personal. Tuesday, July 26, 2011.

Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Hot Chocolate Stir Sticks. Okay, now y'all are really going to fall over. TWO recipes in one day? I know, I've outdone myself :). Actually, I saw these on Pinterest (sigh), so I made my own slightly different version. I took them to a fun Welcome Winter party last night, and they were a total hit, so I had to share! Here's the pin I saw. From Good Housekeeping. Cute, huh? I know, and SOOO easy! Round nonpereil colored sprinkles, milk chocolate chips. Arrange on a cute tray (th...

From the Crap Room: up close and personal

http://fromthecraproom.blogspot.com/2011/07/up-close-and-personal.html

Thursday, July 28, 2011. Up close and personal. Sooo we underestimated the amount of floorboards we needed for the red floor by about 6 pieces. Guess what I did at 10 last night and 6 am this morning? Sanded, painted, and distressed those babies. Yep, that makes a grand total of 88 pieces. Just for the RED floor, let's not count the white floor. But I am done painting, and I have seen most of the red floor installed (minus the shorted pieces), and it's AWESOME! Posted by Handy Mandy :). Putting up a front.

Saturday, August 01, 2015. Look what I have found and it Fits Singer 201K. Look what I have found. The Janome convertible free motion quilting foot set for low shank machines. Will fit my old Singer 201K with a little help from a paper clip. This is Janome Part Number 202-002-004. The paper clip is used just to bring the attachment to the left a little. Although the needle does line up with the hole in the foot its a little close for comfort for my liking! It comes with 4 different attachments. I think t...

From the Craft Table

Creations from the Craft Table! Monday, July 13, 2015. Making your own Patterned Paper. Sometimes you can’t find the right patterned paper as a background… even if you have thousands of sheets like I do! This is the time you’ve just got to make your own! The added bonus of course is that you get the right ‘look’ – whether it be colour or the pattern itself. I love the look of old sheet music on Christmas decorations but am unwilling to cut up Grandma’s old sheet music! SU warm words, Whimsy music notes.

From the crag | Personal blog from the crag

Personal blog from the crag. December 12, 2013. This is a personal blog – one of those that popup, and probably go unsupported, receive no updates, go stale – you know what I mean. In fact, the about page and “first post” will do double-duty. Or… perhaps its one of those that no body ever sees, because something much better comes along before the placeholder gets any notice whatsoever. This site will be a bit of a playground for me:. Internet presence – but not an online resume or CV.
