From The Handbasket

Saturday, March 19, 2011. The past couple of months haven't felt very inspired. I hadn't sewn anything between when my Dad fell and when I whipped up Sarah's Cat in the Hat costume. This bag is based on the Odekake Tote bags that I made a slew of to give as Christmas gifts. I might be wrong, but I think there might be more of these bags in my future. Thursday, March 17, 2011. Happy St. Patty's Day. Tomorrow I'll show you that other proverbial fish. Wednesday, March 2, 2011. For once, our morning did not ...

From The Handbasket: February 2011

http://fromthehandbasket.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 2, 2011. And if you looked at the picture of my parents (taken on my mom's birthday - happy birthday mom! And thought "That man looks familiar.". Then maybe you're remembering the creepy, old neighbor from Home Alone. As my dad ages, he is being "recognized" out in public more and more, but no that is not my dad hanging with Macaulay Culkin. Now to plan the slumber party for five 7 and 8 year olds this Firday. Why am I tired already? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

From The Handbasket: August 2010

http://fromthehandbasket.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Friday, August 27, 2010. It seems like it was just a few months ago that Rachel finished her first week of kindergarten and was in the teddy bear parade. The march through the cafeteria brought me (and I wasn't the only one) to tears. The second, third and fourth graders were having lunch and everyone joined in on the song and applauded for the kids - it was really neat. Well, except for the crying mothers bit. From The Handbasket: December 2010

http://fromthehandbasket.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Saturday, December 18, 2010. The girls and I took to the streets of downtown today to play Santa's elves as we participated in The Toy Society's. I told the girls that we were on a secret mission, that people couldn't see us leaving them and we had to be all slick and sly. They loved it and were very into choosing which toy to leave where. We covered both ends of the city, walking from location to location on the north end, then catching the electric shuttle to the south side. Wednesday, December 8, 2010.

Our slice of life: August 2005

http://sliceofisaaclife.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html

Our slice of life. Sunday, August 28, 2005. Since G.I. Joe always taught us that "knowing is half the battle":. Yellow jackets are wasps that primarily burrow in the ground. they are nasty little critters that are naturally mad at the world and have the ability to sting you over and over and over, unlike honey bees. oh and they get REALLY incensed when you mow over their little underground lairs. if you get stung by them and feel like you can't breathe.go to the ER! Our slice of life. Monday, May 08, 2006. Although it was a bit difficult celebrating a milestone birthday without our friends and family around, as well as dealing with the whole turning 30 thing, I had a lovely birthday! Yesterday morning my thoughtful husband presented me with a bunch of awesome gifts.I felt like a kid again! You are lifesavers (lime-flavored). We couldn't have done it without you guys, and we are so thankful! Now it is back to the real world, no longer as a twenty-something.crazy!

From the Halls of Montezuma. This is a mom-hosted blog about her son's boot camp experience. Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Two Weeks. Less! Sunday, November 2. So I have not heard from you since my last letter so I'm sad about that. But I am super happy that I only have 2 training weeks left (and one Marine week). From The Harbour

Sunday, October 26, 2008. I'm watching a program called Earthshocks on the discovery channel, this particular episode is about hyper hurricanes, fun subject for someone who lives by the ocean in the mid-Atlantic but I digress, they keep using the term 'hurricane regime', seriously, regime? The dictionary says a regime is a system of government, that's what I thought it meant, I looked it up incase I was mistaken, so how can they call a hurricane a regime? Thursday, October 25, 2007. The Globe and Mail.
