Vote No'Malley: June 2015
http://votenomalley.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 04, 2015. If You're Going to Steal. I came across an article on the Baltimore Sun mentioning the large white oak tree in Eldersburg that fell in the storm on Sunday. Then I realized something amazing - the photos used by Sun reporter Michel Elben are actually MY PHOTOS! Here is the article on The Sun with MY photos:. Http:/ www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/carroll/ph-cc-eldersburg-tree-fall-20150602-story.html. And by justice, I want them to post a link to my blog and a bag of Doritos!

Vote No'Malley: January 2015
http://votenomalley.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2015. Bloede's Dam to be Demolished. While scrolling through Twitter I saw a post about the proposed Bloede's Dam demolition. Bloede's Dam is in the Patapsco River Valley State Park. The state plans to demolish the dam and was holding an information session at Arbutus Library. As far as the fish are concerned, the indigenous fish in the immediate area will be significantly impacted as their habitat is expected to be quickly buried in silt and sediment. Other fish, however, will no...

Friday, April 10, 2015. Not a firetruck, but I thought you would appreciate this nonetheless. This, I believe, is a 1971 Ford 500 Maryland State Police car. Note that this was the olive and black color scheme that the Maryland State Police ended, but then returned to later. I took this picture at the 2007 4th of July Parade in Kingsville, Maryland. http://votenomalley.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. This truck pulled up across the street from my sister's house one afternoon in 2013. There was a brush fire behind the houses pictured. The truck is the Bel Air Fire Department Engine 311 2006 Seagrave Marauder II. Links to this post. Thursday, February 26, 2015. Throwback Thursday in Eldersburg. Vote No'Malley: Eldersburg White Oak Felled
http://votenomalley.blogspot.com/2015/06/eldersburg-white-oak-felled.html
Monday, June 01, 2015. Eldersburg White Oak Felled. If you live in Eldersburg, you may have seen the large white oak tree on Stafford Court off of Ridge Road. The tree was HUGE! We once looked at a house for sale on this street when we were looking to move to Eldersburg. I remember commenting about how large the tree was. The tree across the street suffered the wrath of mother nature and the Earth's gravity during the storm when the massive white oak tree sheered the tree nearly in half. You can see in y...

Vote No'Malley: Throwback Thursday in Eldersburg
http://votenomalley.blogspot.com/2015/04/throwback-thursday-in-eldersburg.html
Thursday, April 02, 2015. Throwback Thursday in Eldersburg. Remember the Verizon Store in Peddler's Square? It is now a Liberty Tax store. At the time we had 2 Verizon stores in Eldersburg. Probably more than we need. If you take a good look, this is also an example of Jackass Parking. See the white Ford Explorer occupying 2 parking spots. Labels: Closed in Eldersburg. Eat Charm City: Catonsville Gourmet
http://eatcharmcity.blogspot.com/2015/02/catonsville-gourmet.html
February 5, 2015. Catonsville, MD 21228. Was the third is a series of restaurants I visited while my friend from Colorado was in town. I picked three places that I've never been, and I wasn't disappointed by any of them. I got the ones from Chincoteague, which were briny, but very good. I told another friend about my dinner and he asked why I didn't just get one of each? And is it just me, or does it seem like a rip-off that 6 oysters cost $12? My friend got the fried green tomatoes with bacon. He sa...

Eat Charm City: Plazuelas
http://eatcharmcity.blogspot.com/2012/02/plazuelas.html
February 19, 2012. Plazuelas in Eldersburg does not have a website, but they do serve some great authentic Mexican food. And I mean Mexican, not Texican like you get at Don Pablos, Qdoba, Chipoltle, or Chi-Chi's. My wife and daughter were heading to the Mall in Columbia to look at dresses (boring! There are many choices on the menu and I think they had 9 different vegetarian options. The prices are excellent. My meal was only $7.95 and my son's was $5.95. I didn't have any drinks as I...Dinner and A Show.

Eat Charm City: Taste of Aloha
http://eatcharmcity.blogspot.com/2015/01/taste-of-aloha.html
January 29, 2015. 1405 Sulphur Spring Road. Arbutus, MD 21227. I found Taste of Aloha by accident. I was looking on Google trying to find a quick way to get from I-95 to UMBC. As I was scrolling around the map, I found a restaurant called Taste of Aloha. I went to the website and I liked what I saw. Having been to Hawaii a couple of years ago, I had a yearning for some Polynesian food. The meals came out in about 5 minutes. The Kalua Pig was amazing! The dining area is small. There are probably 6 tab...
