A blog about living a frugal lifestyle
Frugalista: May 2013
http://www.frugalista-llizy.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
An erratic frugal trying to be consistent. Friday, 31 May 2013. WARNING - BOASTFUL MUMMY POST. First of all, welcome to my new follower: Donna Scott. Up until this point, I have hardly mentioned my 2 children. My [almost] 14 year old daughter [Alice, aka superscout] is super cool, even though I say it myself. REALLY. She properly does not run with the pack and is not motivated by money at all. She is motivated by happiness. She is into photography and writes her own blog. Wednesday, 29 May 2013. I wanted...

An erratic frugal trying to be consistent. Wednesday, 29 May 2013. Not the clearest of photos, but great bargains nonetheless. Found these yesterday - carrot and coriander soup; reduced from £1.80 each to 36p each! Ideal for lunches at school. I have popped them both in the freezer. Wrote 30 writing and 30 'speaking and listening' comments yesterday. Plus listed 2 pairs of shoes on ebay]. Labels: cost of food. 30 May 2013 at 12:02. Speaking of carrots, well done on another bargain, you are doing so well.
Frugalista: March 2013

An erratic frugal trying to be consistent. Sunday, 31 March 2013. Yesterday, I deliberately went to Tesco at time when I thought they might be reducing. I got 3 really good reductions:. Asparagus reduced from £2.50 to 63P. I had about a third as part of my meal last night; a treat. The stalks were quite long, so I cut quite a bit off the bottom. However, I saved the bottom bits and will use in a quiche, or some other way. HOW ECONOMICAL AM I? Ruby Slaw' reduced from £2 to 31p. Labels: food; cutting costs.

An erratic frugal trying to be consistent. Tuesday, 30 April 2013. Well done to me for covering my courgettes with fleece, last night. Monday, 29 April 2013. Oxtail Update And Start Of Sealed Pot. Obviously, this is a one off, but Superscout and I have just counted up all the loose change in the house. It came to £6.87. Also, I had an email from Tesco today, about the oxtail fail. They are refunding me £3.50. So I will have £10.37 for the sealed pot on Sunday. Sunday, 28 April 2013. That's more like it!

An erratic frugal trying to be consistent. Saturday, 3 August 2013. Follow Me On Twitter. Well - yet again, I have proved that I am a most inconsistent blogger. All is going very well - frugal and otherwise, but I start off with such good intentions blogging and then just tail off. I am so much better on Facebook and Twitter. A Frugal Wench: If I Were Steve McQueen...
http://frugalwench.blogspot.com/2015/02/if-i-were-steve-mcqueen.html
Monday, 2 February 2015. If I Were Steve McQueen. Hello to my new followers, Frugal Queen and Christine. Honoured to have you on board! Apologies for taking so long to post a new blog. I am deep into a work project and it is a very anxious time for me as I want to do really well with it, hence I'm not around to blog very often. Thanks, Douglas Adams. No, don't panic - it's all planned in, has been on the books for years and will stop the walls of my house falling off. And it will be my. No, the big.
A Frugal Wench: February 2015

Tuesday, 24 February 2015. Batten Down the Hatches! The ball is rolling on the buyout, all financials are in place, and I am now fully committed to the programme of frugaldom-agogo. This is hugely scary, and I feel tremendously wibbly, but I am trying to stay positive. I am thankful for the bounty of the universe, enabling me to cope. That includes a dull 20p I found in the car park this morning. Thanks to a gift card from work, I have been able to secure some much-needed new bedding for nowt. Now, they ...
A Frugal Wench: Eat Well for Therapy?
http://frugalwench.blogspot.com/2015/02/eat-well-for-therapy.html
Friday, 6 February 2015. Eat Well for Therapy? It has been another busy week. I've been working hard. OH has been poorly, but getting better, fingers crossed. I decided to have a glass of wine yesterday, and it may or not be related but I woke up at 4am feeling awful. This morning my eye-bags have bags and I have dandruff between my eyebrows, my skin is so dry. And I didn't really enjoy the wine. I left some in the glass. Am I cured of booze? Should I just have had a cider? It's called Eat Well for Less?

A Frugal Wench: The Big Bad "I Said No"
http://frugalwench.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-big-bad-i-said-no.html
Monday, 8 June 2015. The Big Bad "I Said No". Hello everyone. I haven't posted for a couple of months, but time has passed nonetheless and I am a little further down the road. We are on the road to recovery, both in health and finances. It is a long road, but after a period of feeling rather bleak, I hope I am justified in feeling a bit more positive. 40 have gone to my bro. Better start digging for victory! They tried to do whatever they wanted to do before The Big Bad "I SAID NO" turned up. I need to m...

Friday, 27 March 2015. Happy as a Pig. A friend asked me about my blog the other day, and I told him I had no heart for it at the moment. The problem is I have had a happy ending fail and I didn't know how to write about that. except maybe as a fairy story. Once upon a time, there was a Pig Princess. DAMMIT I WILL BE A PRINCESS! One day, he'll be a happy piggy again, but we need to find him something to do that doesn't involve fire-breathing dragons. What adventures could we go on next? The Years Of Livi...

Frugal Tech for the Small Biz Exec. Microsoft v.s. GM. June 11, 2008. Disclaimer: this comes from an email recently forwarded to me that I found very funny. I don’t know if the events actually happened or not but it’s still worth a read. At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared. The computer industry with the auto industry and stated,. 8216;If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we. In response to Bill’s comments, General Motors issued a press.
