365 Days of Gratitude Photoblog. Be grateful for the simple things in life. Sunday, I am grateful. For warm winter days when you can smell spring in the air. As you can see in the photograph, there are no puddles to be seen. There were puddles, I promise - we received a good amount of snow over the past week and the city's snow removal trucks have yet to visit my neighborhood! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). When the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander Newfoundland by Jim Defede. Sometimes when you least expect it there’s a story that takes you by surprise and captivates you. This book, When the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander Newfoundland. By Jim Defede did that for me. This story detailed the events that happened in Gander, Newfoundland after the World Trade Center bombing in NYC on 9/11. Do you remember that the airspace in the US was shut down after that happened? Need a reminder about pure goodness?

http://susannesspace.blogspot.com/2015/08/fridays-fave-five-341.html
Friday, August 14, 2015. Friday's Fave Five #341. To dig them back out. 1 A weekday dinner with friends. Good friends of ours invited us over on Monday night for a bbq. That is very much out of our norm.but it was actually very nice. They made it for right after I get off work and cooked us up a delicious chicken dinner. The company and conversation was wonderful and we were home plenty early enough in the evening that it didn't interfere with our winding down to get to sleep. And Nestle Raspberry Lime.

Simply Grace – Mission

Our 31st day is finally here! In closing, I want to share with you a Bible story I just love –. N ow an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is a desert place. And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.” So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading? And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me? What prevents me from being baptized?
