Fuggle Antics: Kooks, Brighton
http://fuggleantics.blogspot.com/2015/06/kooks-brighton.html
Georgina Fuggle. Cookbook Author. Food Stylist. Food Editor. Photographer. Dinner out seems a little infrequent in the last few weeks; all those wake up calls, nappies and cries for 'one more story' but just occasionally I think sod it, I need an injection of the bright city, some booze, style and sustenance. As we were leaving punters from Komedia (two doors down) spilled into the bar for a post comedy cocktail. The vibe as edgy and fun, very Brighton. Check it out. Http:/ www.kooksrestaurant.com. Fuggle Antics: Traditional Lemonade
http://fuggleantics.blogspot.com/2015/07/traditional-lemonade.html
Georgina Fuggle. Cookbook Author. Food Stylist. Food Editor. Photographer. Roll up, roll up, Ice Cold Lemonade. There is something about this drink that transports you, instantly, to some wicker rocking chair, swaying gently on the clapperboard porch of a Louisiana country house…no? Well, maybe this recipe will take you there. But the satisfaction of making your own drinks is second to none. Not even cakes or muffins or roast dinners can compete with the sense of self pride, and even smugness, that c...

Georgina Fuggle. Cookbook Author. Food Stylist. Food Editor. Photographer. Norfolk's Best Strawberry Jam. Life seems to slow slightly in the summer months. I've spent some time at home, soaking in the gentle pace and indulging in home cooking. Dad, you see, has turned from communion to conserves, approaching jam making with just the same diligence. Roll up, roll up, Ice Cold Lemonade. There is something about this drink that transports you, instantly, to some wicker rocking chair, swaying gently on the c...

Fuggle Antics: Baked smoked haddock with gnocchi & greens
http://fuggleantics.blogspot.com/2013/01/baked-smoked-haddock-with-gnocchi-greens.html
Georgina Fuggle. Cookbook Author. Food Stylist. Food Editor. Photographer. Baked smoked haddock with gnocchi and greens. This is a recipe from my book, I will post one every week or so. I'll start with one of my favourites. Smoked haddock has a gutsy character, pushing it to prominence in any dish it chooses to star in. Here, pillows of gnocchi and delicate green vegetables act as supporting roles in a dish that might just become your ‘new fish pie.’. Cook time 35 minutes. 200ml full-fat crème fraiche.

A Year Without ..... : September 2016
http://ayearwithoutclothesbooks.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html
Our Permanent Shopping List. Friday, 30 September 2016. Day 274 - The Last Batch of Jelly. That's it I'm all done with jam and jelly making. The cupboard is full, the jars are all virtually used up and I'm sick of the sight of the jelly bag, drip, drip dripping overnight. We shouldn't starve that's for sure, and it's all. Very tasty stuff that's tastes absolutely gorgeous on a slice of homemade bread when I'm too lazy to fry an egg for breakfast ;-). Labels: No Spend Day. Thursday, 29 September 2016.

A Year Without ..... : November 2016
http://ayearwithoutclothesbooks.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html
Our Permanent Shopping List. Wednesday, 30 November 2016. Day 335 - Warming Soup. It just had to be soup for lunch and. Tea today . it was soooo cold outside. Working in the polytunnel for as long as I could bear it, (it was -3 degrees), to clear away all the frost damaged plants, and cover what I could salvage with an extra layer of fleece left me feeling chilled to the bone. Today is a No Spend Day. Tuesday, 29 November 2016. Day 334 - Which Are You? I bet this top picture made you wonder for a second ...

Our Permanent Shopping List. Tuesday, 29 November 2016. Day 334 - Which Are You? I bet this top picture made you wonder for a second . no it's not my secret larder stash . both todays pictures are from Google Images, an absolute font of photos of every. I just wanted to ask you. Something for a change! Which of these two images sums you. Do you like a well stocked, indeed overstocked food cupboard like the one above. With foods for every eventuality at your fingertips. A Year Without ..... : October 2016
http://ayearwithoutclothesbooks.blogspot.com/2016_10_01_archive.html
Our Permanent Shopping List. Monday, 31 October 2016. Day 305 - Blanched Sweetcorn. I picked the last of the sweetcorn last week, the cobs were still quite small but the temperatures outside now are cold and damp and the net tunnel where these were growing is only a degree warmer than outside. Once again the freezer is full to the top, so I'm glad there's nothing else that needs open freezing as there is no room now for my stack of trays to sit on top of the other contents. Today is a No Spend Day. I dec...

A Year Without ..... : Basic Recipes
http://ayearwithoutclothesbooks.blogspot.com/p/recipes.html
Our Permanent Shopping List. 500g Flour (brown, white or a mix of the two). 15 mls Oil (any oil). This makes one 2lb loaf, two 1lb loaves, 4 pizza bases or 6-9 bread rolls. Add all the dry ingredients to your bowl, I use my Kenwood mixer bowl with it's dough hook. With the motor running on medium speed I pour in the water and the oil at the same time and then leave to mix for a good 10 minutes. If you are making pizzas, divide the dough into portions and roll out each quite thinly. Leave to rise whil...

A Year Without ..... : Day 333 - Self Deprivation ?
http://ayearwithoutclothesbooks.blogspot.com/2016/11/day-333-self-deprivation.html
Our Permanent Shopping List. Monday, 28 November 2016. Day 333 - Self Deprivation? Oh, goodness gracious. Let your self go. Life's too short to deprive yourself of the little luxuries in life. It isn't helping anyone else. Oh, how I long to see a pic of you, with Christmas pudding and brandy sauce dripping down your chin (sigh) Will it happen? Just how will you resist? Obviously, only joking, but life really is too short! Anyway, Merry Christmas, and heartfelt Blessings to you and your family. Are just d...

Our Permanent Shopping List. Sunday, 27 November 2016. Day 332 - Wow! Wow is it really Day 332! I think this is the longest I have been able to keep a Challenge going for, and I'm determined to be here until the end of the year. A couple of you have asked if I am going to go wild shopping in January. Buying all the books on my wish-list, buying new clothes for the year ahead and having a supermarket splurge, well in all honesty I have thought about it . especially the supermarket one. That sound just won...

Fuggle Antics
Georgina Fuggle. Cookbook Author. Food Stylist. Food Editor. Photographer. Every year for I’d say, 15 years I’ve made pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. Lent beginning was a major thing at home and sitting around the kitchen we’d each resolve to change habits or indeed, take up new challenges. Mum would always aim to eat fewer nuts, she could survive on salted peanuts if she had her way and dad would invariably deny himself double cream for forty days. A pinch of salt. A pinch of sugar. A little butter, to fry.
