WHATEVER I CAN THINK OF//: November 2010

Wednesday, November 24, 2010. BEEN THERE,SEEN THAT. Apart from that, music videos seem to make the music industry (concerning established and non-established bands alike) even more of a battle field than it already is.If you have an uninteresting music video than you might as well start posting an add for your instruments in the Junkmail, as that means you will probably end up as one of the million bands to be overlooked. Directed by the one and only Louis MInnaar. Done by the UK based wunderkids Shotopop.

The Sound Between: June 2011
http://soundbetween.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 16, 2011. We dance and grow on through our darkest days. There are so many great South African bands. On the scene lately it's hard to line them all up and pick out the best like this is fourth grade gym class. So, instead I offer you just a random little smorgasbord (fancy word alert) of nice local tunes. Enjoy and then go find more! Here's a funky Cape Town band, which already makes them cool, of course. (I'm only half kidding;). That makes me want a banjo even more. Lover of all things ...

a Skyline on Fire: October 2010
http://askylineonfire.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 18, 2010. So here we are: an album called ‘Slow’ taking forever to reach the public. This post feels like that awkward conversation you have with a really close friend after you haven’t talked for too-long a time. It's not supposed to sound apologetic, although it might come across as the ramblings of a guilty man. When we started the process of this album, I think we were aiming for an April or May release. We nearly made it! Who recorded after us, and have already launched their album.

Wednesday, October 13, 2010. IT'S TOO LATE FOR A CLEVER TITLE. Now I'm lying in bed with my laptop and my battery has 50min of battery life left.my eyes about 20min (it's about 1h30am) and my brain possibly only 12min of efficient brain activity left to get this blog afloat again. I figure it's a good way to spend these last minutes of the day. Okayif you're still here than we've passed the 20sec timespan meaning I've achieved what I set out to do :) (smirk). Fulka-The mystery of the seven stars".

BlindBlimp: March 2011

Tuesday, March 29, 2011. A new The View review: Yayness! I still reach for The View's debut album, Hats off to the Buskers, when I need a bit of cheering up. Their special brand of pep and oddity never fails to lift my spirits. And they have brought it quite successfully to their third album, Bread and Circuses. (We do not speak of their second album, Which Bitch, which made almost no impact on the music scene at all.). Makes apparent. Blondie. Bread and Circuses is more melodic, calmer and a little more...
