Touring at 74 (74! Has the oldies and the goodies: Dance Me ‘Till The End Of Love, Hallelujah, Tower of Song and one of my absolute faves, The Future with its dark and foreboding lyrics (“Things are gonna slide, slide in all directions, won’t be nothing, you can measure anymore”). Maybe I’m a Communist after all | Always Abroad
https://alwaysabroad.wordpress.com/2009/01/30/maybe-im-a-communist-after-all
But back home at the moment…. Maybe I’m a Communist after all. January 30th, 2009. I took the news. About the Wall Street bonuses rather hard this afternoon. I swore at the television. But, come on! Nearly 20 billion dollars in bonuses for financial execs who messed up the worldwide economy (well, more than messed up. More like a word that starts with f and ends with d, but there’s a u and a k and a c inside with an e). I mean, why are people getting more money when they messed up? When I see photos like...

OPTIONAL: Create a list of 12 “Alternates” (books you could substitute for your challenge books, given that a particular one doesn’t grab you at the time). Then, starting January 1, 2009, read one of these books from your list each month, ending December 31, 2009. :o). By Iain Banks (F — 244 pages).

But back home at the moment…. I do so agree. May 2nd, 2009. So, I don’t blog for ages and should probably tell you about the fantastic books I’ve read lately (except for Salman Rushdie…what’s up Salman with the wordiness and all the plotlines and the books that never seem to end? And the pregnancy and life in general. But all of this would require time and brain power, both of which are in short supply at the moment. So, instead, I’ll redirect you to this cartoon strip. Some day… | Always Abroad

But back home at the moment…. February 21st, 2009. I was talking to Anne last night and she said “So, when will you start blogging again? 8221; and I had no good answer. It’s heavy going here at the moment. There are physical issues kicking my butt, emotional upsets and all of this results in a feeling of total exhaustion. I’d say that I need a holiday but I’m on half term week right now and I don’t feel any better. At least the Sun’s shining today. I will be back. Just not right now. Hang in there xx.

But back home at the moment…. On the move…. April 17th, 2009. So, I’ll be moving stuff from here to a pre-existing blog that holds all my older posts: Always Abroad. Please re-direct your browsers, your links and (the very important) feed readers to the new address. That’s where all the action will be from now on. Kinuk’s been good to me. But it’s time to let her go. Filed in Blogs, Comps and Nets. 3 Responses to “On the move…”. April 18th, 2009 at 12:50. Don’t move too far. :-). April 30th, 2009 at 12:18.

It is a glorious version! You can hear it here. January 20th, 2009. N and A watched, with N getting very excited at the Yo-Yo Ma performance (a ‘cello!

Shout for joy if you get the chance | Always Abroad
https://alwaysabroad.wordpress.com/2009/03/15/shout-for-joy-if-you-get-the-chance
But back home at the moment…. Shout for joy if you get the chance. March 15th, 2009. A toddler and a new. U2 album do not go hand in hand. It’s taken me a week to listen to all the songs and not once has it been all in a row. I get drawn away, pulled away, sometimes pushed by A and the listening party is never complete. When he goes to bed, I’m mostly too tired to take in new music. But the rest sound good and sound like I’ll love them, given the chance. March 16th, 2009 at 00:14. Aww, I’m sorry yo...
