Racing with my S2000. Sunday, August 25, 2013. S2000 Subframe Bolt Check and maintenance post on s2ki.com. As I was working out the issues of my alignment that I faced during my last time attack competition, I found out some interesting information on the S2000 subframe bolts and required maintenance. I compiled my thoughts into a thread and here it is on s2ki.com. Happy reading! Http:/ www.s2ki.com/home/2013/08/24/subframe-bolts-have-you-checked-yours/. To heck with it, I thought since I only had less c...

Racing with my S2000: November 2012
http://racings2000.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Racing with my S2000. Saturday, November 17, 2012. The day personal barriers were smashed. Getting a high 2:39 woud be a job well done in my book so you can imagine how ecstatic I felt crossing the mid way of the front straight and watching the magic numbers flash out: 2:38.30. This timing would likely rank me among the quickest street tyre S2000's at Sepang! Watermarked pictures courtesy of Cyber Imp Productions. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Racing with my S2000: June 2011

Racing with my S2000. Sunday, June 12, 2011. The priorities of life. One of the matters that has occupied my mind lately is how the fun of racing and motorsports must often take a backseat to the priorities of life. In my life, there has been almost a single minded focus on my car as a hobby and I have had recently to re-align myself to focus on the priorities which are clear and present before indulgent expenditures on my car. Racing with my S2000: May 2011
http://racings2000.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Racing with my S2000. Tuesday, May 10, 2011. So far the feedback I have on the PWJDM intake is that fitment is not easy in the slightest requiring hood cutting as per this pic:. A spacer on the bonnet joint end was also required to ensure proper closing of the bonnet. My oil cooler had to be relocated and my brake ducting also needs to be re-aligned. In the picture below you can see how the funnels have been relocated to relatively ineffective positions. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Racing with my S2000: April 2015

Racing with my S2000. Friday, April 10, 2015. Trial by torture. Ardeca Lubricants on the track and street! 1 The right viscosity. 2 The amount of protection. Engine oil manufacturers usually supply a technical data sheet with many specifications informing consumer on how the oil will act at high or low temperatures and even indicators of potentially how long the protection will extend. Have a look at the technical data sheet for the Motul 300V Power 5W40 here which is a oil principals provide to aid in c...

Racing with my S2000. Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Grassroots motorsports at Johor Circuit @ Pasir Gudang, back after years of absence! Seeing how the start of the year had been way too busy for me to catch some seat time at the track, i decided to take the opportunity to tag on to the PG Trackies track day at Johor Circuit at Pasir Gudang. Many of my long time car buddies were attending this weekday track and with the low traffic expected, I was pretty sure this would be a really fun event! After the open t...

Racing with my S2000: February 2011

Racing with my S2000. Monday, February 14, 2011. Service and Maintenance for my S2000 and suggested track modifications. Coming from an older version WRX, the excellent reliability of a normally aspirated Honda S2000 was a real comfort. The only maintenance parts (wear and tear excluding regular servicing parts such as spark plugs) I've needed for the past 3 years of ownership are the following:. 1 a new battery - pretty cheap to replace. 2 air-con condensor coil - a few hundred solved it. 6 For engine o...

Racing with my S2000. Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Back to Attack-ing 2013! Seeing how my 150,000 km leaky stock engine wouldn't probably be too competitive there, I decided to continue competing in Street (only street tyres allowed) NA (normally aspirated) RWD (rear wheel drive) in Time To Attack and play to a slightly more level field. The splitter before mounting. Here it is mounted. Here is a load testing using yours truly. This splitter is crazy strong! Had fun with on the wet track with this very spor...
