Where the Blog Bloobs! Monday, February 16, 2009. Hearts of Palm panini. I created this while traveling to Brazil :). Two slices of whole grain bread. A slice of mozzarella cheese. Some ricotta(the kind that is like a firm white cheese) or other similar white cheese. Slices of tomato (also good with sun dried tomatoes packed in oil, if you choose this, omit the butter or margarine). One or two hearts of palm, sliced. Freshly ground black pepper. Dried or fresh oregano or basil or both.

This is a recipe for yeast corn bread which is common in Portugal, and Brazil.Usually is made using only white flour, but I prefer to make with half white, and half whole wheat. Portuguese Corn Bread (for 2 loaves). 1 Tbsp active dry yeast. 1 cup warm water. 2 cups whole grain cornmeal. 2 cups all purpose flour. 2 cups whole wheat flour. 2 Tbsp and 2tsp vital wheat gluten. 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil. 1 cup warm milk. Where the Blog Bloobs! Monday, December 28, 2009. Muesli.with TVP.it works! I could not even tell the difference! Today, since I had only regular oats, and I forgot to soak them, I didn't add any oats, just the fruit, nuts, yogurt.and it worked very well too! As a matter of fact, the taste with or without oats is pretty much the same! So if you wanna try, just soak your TVP, then drain and refrigerate, in the morning (or whenever you like) mix with whatever you want and enjoy! Sunday, December 20, 2009.

Where the Blog Bloobs! Tuesday, June 29, 2010. As it is pretty obvious, I'm crazy about Japanese food, and as I already informed everybody, I'm moving pretty soon. So my selection of fresh food at home is pretty limited right now, and I'm trying to eat all canned, and dried foods that I have on hand, so I created this donburi dish with what I had around here. Mushroom, arame and leek donburi. About 3 oz of FRESH leeks, thinly sliced. 2 eggs, lightly beaten, also FRESH.sort of. 1 and 1/2 Tbsp shoyu.

Now I put in the refrigerator, I'll age for two days, and try again, then I will age a few days more, and freeze it! So making my own is cheap! A lot of fun! And good for the environment! Millet with orange, dried banana and peanuts. 40 grams, about 1/4 cup of dried millet. One navel orange chopped , zest removed,.
